Reza Aslan, a religious scholar with a Ph.D. in the sociology of religions from the University of California and author of the new book, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, went on FoxNews.coms online show Spirited Debate to promote his book only to be prodded about why a Muslim would write a historical book about Jesus.

It’s very relevant to my point. Muslims do not tolerate diverse opinions and yet whine when they aren’t given every opportunity to evangelize their hate based religion.
Jews are very tolerant and of course are Gods chosen people.
We agree on this...
Kinda surprising how many defenders of Muslims are on here today.
Moehammhead had a vision, dream or brain fart that he went to Heaven and visited a bunch of saints. All bowed to him in servitude but “Issa” (Jesus) told him to ‘Suck off, you ain’t crap”. From that point on, the war was on. Lasted 2000 years,so far. Time to end it.
“Time to end it.”
Sure is.
I'm certainly not one of them. I will never defend radical Islam.
Kinda surprising how someone on here would falsely attribute an explanation of islam as a defense of it. I don't defend islam, but I'm not going to lie about it either.
Agreed. And Jews don't ask governments for special privileges either.
What are you talking about?
Have you seen how many Jews voted for O in 2008 and 2012? Israel itself is a socialistic theocratic state with universal health care
Who demanded Jesus' crucifixion, again?
:^)
I don’t know much about your view but my view is that the line between Christians and Muslims goes back to the time when Hagar was put out of the tent of Abraham. Her son Ishmael by Abraham is connected to the Muslims of today through Mohammed. Mohammed was a crafty fellow who knew his lineage to God did not follow onto the House of David. Being an aggressive man he needed to establish his own way to Allah and did manage to create enough havoc to set up the two holy places of worship in Saudi Arabia, Mecca and Medina. I would take it that is why the Saudi royal family is so restrictive as to any other form of religion coming into Saudi Arabia. It seems the royal families think of themselves as being the caretakers of Mohammed’s world. Being a dedicated Muslim it should be expected that Obama ,as he did, give the homage bow to the King. Perhaps this was in the ear Bush1 when he proclaimed a ‘new world order.
You will defend "regular" islam? Try this thought on for size.
The islamist that subjugates the infidel, lies to them, desecrates their religious sites, and kills them in an exciting and seemingly ever expanding array of methods is following the tenets of islam. It is not only in the koran, but muslim islamic scholars through the ages have written extensively about it. If a non-violent muslim were to go fundamental, the behavior I just described is what you would get. On the other hand, a Christian that behaved that way in the name of his religion would not be following the tenets of Christianity. In fact the Bible is pretty clear that there is a place in Hell for people that do those types of things. So, people can accept islam as a legitimate religion, and not a violent death cult at your own peril; just don't ask me to go on that death ride with you.
Yeah and they seemed to have learned their lesson.
Wasn’t referring to you, sorry.
I know.
Just pulling your leg.
And no Christian has written a book about Mohammed?
When Muslims stopping killing Christians for being Christian I’ll address your point.
Fair enough.
However, I daresay that most of the Jews on this site didn’t vote for O.
And I do defend Israel as evidenced by my profile page.
How does one respond to such a comment without being insulting and without violating the guidelines of this site?
