NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A 21-year-old was arrested at the Opry Mills Mall after getting caught recording a young boy in the bathroom.
Police responded to the food court area of the mall on Sunday in reference to a call about obscene behavior.
The victim, a 10-year-old boy, was using a public restroom and needed his father to retrieve some toilet paper. As the boy began to wipe himself, the father observed a hand holding a cell phone over the wall of his son's stall taking photographs.
The father confronted the suspect, later identified as Gerrit Greiert, who tried to leave the area.
However, as he was leaving, he began accessing the photographs, so the victim's father detained him and confiscated the cell phone until authorities arrived.
Once in police custody, Greiert admitted to taking photographs in the restroom and consented to a search of his cell phone.
Police found several photos of two male juveniles, in which their private areas were visibly exposed.
Greiert was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
His bond was set at $100,000.
Greiert is due in court August 1.

I love Nashville. The wife and I honeymooned there. There are pervs everywhere, probably far fewer in your town than here in San Diego.
That works better than the criminal justice system and happens before the victims and perpetrators die of old age.
I would do the same unfortunately that is not smart and can
backfire on you by someone, a witness, with the opposite values(quite a few: gay values) calling the police. Then justice will be delivered to both of you and a possible civil lawsuit for going beyond a ‘citizens arrest’. Messed up world, we live in.
The days of beating the tar out of someone instead of calling the police can backfire heavily.
He's just exercising his civil right to his own sexual preference.

In addition to a “stand your ground law”, we need a “beat to a bloody pulp” law.

Should have just grabbed his arm and pulled downward rapidly....
Pulled hard and fast enough to either dislocate or break this pervert’s arm.
Try having him explain how his arm got broken....
That’s one reason I always accompany my son to the restroom in a public place.
