JACKSON, MI – While efforts to terminate her parental rights were pending, Bridget Marks, a mother of three, appeared as a stripper on The Jerry Springer Show.
“They don’t watch Jerry Springer in my house,” Marks, 23, responded when Assistant Prosecutor Kati Rezmierski asked her if she would want her children to see the show, which aired May 3.
There is no nudity in the episode, titled “Strippers Go Round and Round,” and Marks said she was paid for her appearance.
Marks, who said she no longer works as a dancer, was testifying Monday, July 29, during a family court termination proceeding before Probate Judge Diane Rappleye. The trial continues Tuesday.
The Michigan Department of Human Services has petitioned to permanently separate Marks from her son, Corey Austin Jr., 3, and two daughters, Bella Austin, 2, and a 5-year-old. The judge is to decide whether this is the appropriate course of action.
The 5-year-old now is with her father and Corey and Bella are in foster care.
Marks’ former boyfriend, Daniel Ronquillo, 25, is serving 15 to 22 ½ years in prison for burning Corey and Bella on May 30, 2012 in scalding water.
A jury in May convicted him of two counts of first-degree child abuse, defined by law as an intentional infliction of serious harm. Jurors acquitted him of torture.
Marks, already involved with Children’s Protective Services, was told she should not leave her children alone with Ronquillo, a registered sex offender who once got so angry he broke his hand punching a wall a few feet from Marks.
She did not heed this advice, however, and Ronquillo, who is not the father of her children, was watching Bella and Corey on May 30.

Bridget Marks and that scumbag she screwing should be BOILED in scalding water for a few minutes....just to get the feel of it.
Sentence them to only one year in the general prison population. Problem solved. They would not last a month unless confined to solitary.

Oh these are mild as far as local nut cases go.
A couple years back a girl I went to school with (she was a mess then) was murdered by her husband and the semi retarded adult woman who lived with them. The husband then decided that he wanted to kill himself by hanging. He apparently changed his mind and asked her to cut him down. The retarded woman decided that it was too late for him to back out so she cut his throat killing him.
It was one of those cases where everybody saw a bad end coming years ahead of time.

Sometimes crazy is a generational thing as in the case of Diana (the woman killed by her husband).
When I was a teenager the rumor was that Diana’s mother and father were brother and sister and that her mother had unsuccessfully tried to home abort Diana with drain cleaner. The husband who killed Diana was actually her second husband and brother of her first husband who died due to untreated diabetes. She and the first husband had 9 kids and all were taken by the state at birth because the husband’s family were all known child molesters.
That whole bunch attracted crazy and if you didn’t want to be seen as one of them, you gave them a wide berth. My family was bad enough but they weren’t child molesters and psychos, just plain criminals which faded with my dad and uncles.
