Meet the conservative who is challenging Mitch McConnell.

By Katrina Trinko

Louisville, Ky. — This isn’t the first time Matt Bevin has been fed up with the Republican establishment.

Last week, the Kentucky businessman announced he would challenge Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell in next year’s Republican Senate primary. This will be Bevin’s first entry into the political rodeo. But the longtime Republican has often been a frustrated party member.

He’s going to get crushed in the money chase. I give him “zero” chance.

If Kentuckians are fed up with McConnell’s shenanigans, then money won’t win for him. If they are happy with McConnell, then he’s unbeatable.

The real issue is whether Bevin gets the help of conservatives to spread the case against McConnell.

Cruz had about the same odds. Millionaire Dewhurst went crazy with negative ads and overplayed his hand but much more in play the real conservatives knew what the real deal was going on and Cruz won. It was quite miraculous given Dewhurst name recognition and money. I wouldn't write it off by any means.

So?

Are there supposedly conservatives in Ky that are sick of this guy?

Then they need to get their butts out there and vote for this other guy, money or not, or forever shut the hell up about RINOs.

I hold the so-called conservatives in KY, and in places like SC, responsible MORE for these guys than I hate the people they elect. These fools didn’t take power, THEY gave it to them.
