If I were the Saudi king, I would consider secretly funding environmentalist wacko groups in the US.

I think the Environazis are freaked out too.

Private industry blindsided them, and they are freaked out.

For those who want to see a 6 minute video showing how horizontal drilling and fracking is done, Northern Gas and Oil has done a great one.

This includes a piece on how groundwater contamination is avoided:

Knowledge is power, keep the link and pass it on.

There's a tendency for us to find this humorous.  I think there's another side to it though.  While we do get perterbed with the Saudis, the truth is that nation could be much worse.

It's people are by and large a large body of whacked out Islamic adherents, whose real feelings against the U. S. are largely tamed by their government.  I know many of you can give good examples where that didn't happen.  I'm not going to deny that.  Unfortunately, in life, bad things can and do get worse.  The Shah of Iran wasn't perfect.  A lot of folks wanted him gone.  Mubarak was far from perfect.  Now look at things.  Even the somewhat mellowed out Khadaffy was replaced by a network that may yet wind up making the Middle-East much worse than it has been over the last thirty years.

We shouldn't take much glee from anything that might upset the balance of power in Saudi Arabia.  If it were to go, Jordan and other friendly nations with the West might follow.

The muslim oil barons have started hiring Hollywood actors such as Matt Damon and Krasinski.

They already own Obama and The Sierra Club.

Only right wing NeoCons want the US trroops out of the Middle East.

He is probably funding all the nutcakes that are trying to stop it. How satisfying would that be to produce so much energy here we no longer had to have anything to do with those people. They have no other source of wealth. They produce nothing that isn’t sucked out of the ground. They don’t create anything. They have not diversified. Ending the transfer of our wealth to their pockets would be so gratifying.

In 2012, Saudi Arabia earned $311 billion (Today's Dollars)

Since 2005, Saudi Arabia has reduced its oil exports by 2 million barrels a day.

But Saudi Arabia is still earning a lot of money.

I find this good news. Us seeking freedom from oil controlling countries that has them freaking out means we are on the right path!

The dude is correct in trying to convince the “oil producing dependent” country that they will see a major dip in their incoming money. But it sounds like the arrogance of the Saudi kingdom doesn’t see it happening.
