He's talking corp tax cuts.. others reported that the Republicans have to agree to increases in spending in exchange.

RE: Talk radio "consultants" and program directors.

There are threads today about Cass Sunstein's "nudging" us into areas that the government want us. I see all the talk by these "consultants" as re-imposing the "Fairness Doctrine."

If Obama's FCC did it there would be outrage. Talk radio is being nudged to do it on its own and stop the talk that liberals do not like. I remember the silenced majority decades and they weren't pretty. NEVER AGAIN!

How can Savage compare the WPA and such with Obama giving 800 billion dollars to public employee unions and union members? That’s where most of the money went (and will go) from Obama “stimulus” programs — at least half would go to Detroit and Chicago this time.

“Grand Bargain”

Same sort of bargain Stalin had with the kulaks.

Sunstein actually calls it libertarian paternalism -- we kids are free to choose from among the options that the government presents to us.

Did someone mention Turkish women?

They ain't buying the Islamist crap that their government is pushing. Erdoğan is looking over his shoulder after what happened to Mohamed Morsi. Wouldn't be the first time that the Turkish Army stopped Erdoğan when it happens.

This article sheds some light on Mike’s Zimmerman comments, methinks.

Just the first step towards implementing ‘repressive tolerance’.

Thanks for the link.

". . . Cumulus will promote personalities like Michael Savage, who . . . has tempered his performance amid concerns over being hyper-partisan [reporting stories that MSM spike IOW] to a more populist presentation, using softer subjects and more humor.

The past few days do not follow that exactly but there have been plenty of times that I realized listening to Savage.. Hey! This is "Fairness Doctrine" radio. I had almost four decades of that. No more. Click.

Media "experts" and major media corporations (probably getting massive tax breaks) enforce the "Fairness Doctrine" for Obama's FCC. F'em.

I was confident you were cognizant of Marcuse. Ah, the bad old days! Tried to make it through One Dimensional Man back then, but never finished it. I think I switched to Stranger in a Strange Land. LOL.

It seems that Savage has adjusted his views on Edward Snowden. He did ask “Who’s worse, Snowden or Bradley Manning, then didnt mention it again. When the Snowden thing first broke, I didn’t take a strong position, and decided to see how it played out.(I did think it was a cheap personal attack to ridicule him for being a high school dropout, and still do.) But Savage spent several days proclaiming Snowden a patriot and launching on anybody who suggested otherwise. Will he ever explain his change of opinion, if he has changed? If it was an important enough topic to spent so many days crowing about in the beginning, it’s important enough to mention again, even if briefly.
