White House presses for team of ‘nudge’ experts to sway American behavior
Washington Times ^ | 7/30/13 | Cheryl K. Chumley

The White House has kicked off several federal projects aimed at influencing how Americans react to certain policy reforms, going so far as to solicit behavior experts to join a British-style “Behavioral Insights Team” to help nudge voters into accepting key political programs. “Behavioral sciences can be used to help design public policies that work better, cost less and help people to achieve their goals,” a document on the government program states, Fox News reported. The document, emailed by White House senior adviser Maya Shankar and obtained by Fox News, also seeks applicants to join the federal government’s behavior modification team.

Yep it’s also a spiritual problem. Now one CAN be gratuitously wasteful and a few things do recycle well. But the token recycling? It’s not needed.

Government of the people, by the people, for the people seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Government has now placed itself above the people. And we have become "subjects"...who need to be "controlled".

This project is, on the one hand, insidious. On the other, it is illuminating -- as regards the plans they have for us.

Well of course we do not need to be controlled... except by one entity, God’s Holy Spirit. Who is not a robot-maker but keeps us within bounds that are meant to be containers of glory. (As one small example goes, God won’t tell you whether to take the blueberry or apple pie, unless it’s a bad idea to eat pie at all of course.)

Evil governments will do what evil governments do. The question before us is whether the unique, gospel powered fight of America’s people will ever be revived. The good news is that the government’s okay is NOT NEEDED to effect such a thing. Serious recognition of our own personal weakness without God, IS NEEDED.

Hey call me zealous or whatever. But God is perfectly ready to load any willing person up with more power than that person can even think to do with. But the offering of the person to God has to be voluntary. My dear Calvinist friends notwithstanding [I am something of a Calminian], God won’t force somebody to choose, but God will be Johnny on the Spot for someone who is ready to choose. It’s both hard (we have to fight through a lifetime of ingrained ego or as the bible puts it, fleshliness) and it’s easy (when failing, go back to God for more kind teaching instead of charging on bullheadedly).

“Day of Prayer ruled unconstitutional

Annie Laurie Gaylor loves America, but she’s no fan of God.

She must be a very unhappy person. I guess her purpose in life is to make others unhappy. And if she truly loves America, why is she doing her utmost to change it into something it was never intended?

She was thrilled Thursday when a federal judge ruled that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional.

“We are ecstatic,” said Gaylor, co-president of the Freedom from Religion Foundation, which advocates for nonbelievers. Gaylor’s group sued to overturn a federal law that requires the president to declare an annual day of prayer each year. United States District Court Judge Barbara Crabb of the Western District of Wisconsin ruled in their favor.”

Socialist America
by J. D. Longstreet

Winston Churchill said: “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” In these few words Churchill summed up for us exactly what Obama and the Democratic Party of America are ramming down the throats of the citizens of the United States today.

We watched over the years as the US Democratic Party adopted more and more of the Marxist agenda and slowly transformed themselves from a freedom loving political party to a Socialist/Marxist party. I first became aware of this transformation in the 1960’s. Since then I have watched as the Democratic Party has slowly shed it’s façade until they now proudly proclaim their socialist agenda.

I understand that many Americans STILL have no idea what socialism is and, unfortunately, they have even less understanding of capitalism. At least two generations of Americans have been taught in the government indoctrination centers, we laughingly refer to as the Public School System, and in our institutions of higher learning, that being liberal, being progressive, is the accepted norm for Americans. They bought it. Apparently, nobody told them that words like “liberal” and “progressive” were cover words for “collectivism,” “socialism”, and “communism”.

Well, I have news for you. Socialism is not “American” by any stretch of the imagination. If fact, it is anti-American.

How was this deception introduced into American government? It was a Democrat President by the name of Franklin Delano Roosevelt who introduced socialism to America and embedded it in our government. He said: “Here is my principle: Taxes shall be levied according to ability to pay. That is the only American principle.” –Franklin D. Roosevelt

American, my Aunt Fanny! That’s PURE socialism!

Yeah. You carry a can of catfood with you and they follow. The WH does it with “free” entitlement programs and Obamaphones.
