The White House has kicked off several federal projects aimed at influencing how Americans react to certain policy reforms, going so far as to solicit behavior experts to join a British-style “Behavioral Insights Team” to help nudge voters into accepting key political programs. “Behavioral sciences can be used to help design public policies that work better, cost less and help people to achieve their goals,” a document on the government program states, Fox News reported. The document, emailed by White House senior adviser Maya Shankar and obtained by Fox News, also seeks applicants to join the federal government’s behavior modification team.

What country do we live in again?

Obama is creating a Ministry of Propaganda!

Isn’t it enough that the entire news media is nothing but a propaganda arm of the government?

People obviously aren't as smart as their dear leaders.

I suspect that political prisoners will now have a reason to be experimented upon. Can anyone say Hitlers?

Don’t wait for America to show belief before you do. We already got a cloud of witnesses.

How about “North Minehead By-Election”?

Hitler-Cleese is ranting from a balcony as Ribbentrop-Chapman circulates among the rubes observing, “He’s right, you know”.

Easier to train child propagandists than to pass new laws. Instead of outlawing smoking, have children in restaurants scream “MOMMY, that nasty man is SMOKING!!”

I think you’re Jewish cultural background, you’d probably know this detail.. but isn’t nudge (pronounced noodj) a Yiddish term for “an annoying person”?

It is actually a different word. Nudge is an English word. "A Noodj" is a noun meaning pretty much what you described. The vowel is pronounced different. uh vs. oo.
