George Rivera got the OK from Secretary of State Scott Gesslers office today that his petitions were accepted. If certified this week, it will put him on the Sept. 10 recall ballot against state Sen. Angela Giron.
Rivera, a Republican, will be the only alternative to Giron, a Democrat if Pueblo-area voters decide to recall her. Gun-rights supporters, angry at Girons Senate vote to regulate weapons, initiated the recall. Rivera needed 1,000 signatures on the petitions and delivered 1,513, he said. Of those, 1,462 were accepted, according to Rivera.
does somebody have a total of the number of Democrats, their names, etc., being recalled, and of their opponents?
Tar and feather is preferable but I will go for a recall.
Herpin R. v. Morse DU, district Colorado Springs
