Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel warned Wednesday that the Pentagon may have to mothball up to three Navy aircraft carriers and order additional sharp reductions in the size of the Army and Marine Corps if Congress doesn't act to avoid massive budget cuts beginning in 2014.
Speaking to Pentagon reporters, and indirectly to Congress, Hagel said that the full result of the sweeping budget cuts over the next 10 years could leave the nation with an ill-prepared, under-equipped military doomed to face more technologically advanced enemies.
In his starkest terms to date, Hagel laid out a worst-case scenario for the U.S. military if the Pentagon is forced to slash more than $50 billion from the 2014 budget and $500 billion over the next 10 years as a result of Congressionally-mandated automatic spending cuts.

Obama might sell them to the Chinese, the Chinese are building Aircraft Carriers now.
They can use them when they attack Taiwan or Japan, with Obama’s blessing.

Hagel is a long ways from my favorite guy, however our military is beung dissembled at this time, and I’m very wary of it.

Allowed more domestic drilling for tax revenue
Allow keystone pipeline
Give corps a tax free holiday to bring rev back stateside
Drop corp tax rate below most other developed nations
Sell off U.S. land holdings
Repeal EPA regs that hamstring business
End carrer un-employment.
Oh, and a two year-moratorium on selling T-bills or until the budget is balanced.

Well RINO Chuck, perhaps you need to find a way to cut some of the waste in the Navy. Start with cutting every faggot loving program there is. Then follow that up with cutting programs that waste money on that death cult, Islam.

Me too-almost 50 years, now working in OSD as a furloughed GS-15. The cuts Hagel listed are worst-case:
Army to as low as 350,000 soldiers,
Marines to 150,000,
Air Force cut fighter squadrons and retire old bombers (Buffs? B-2s?—who knows—it’s the USAF!)
Navy to 8 CV strike groups.
Forces haven’t been that small since 1950. Remember what happened that year?
