House Democratic leaders launched an effort this week to curb racial discrimination in the nation’s criminal justice system, arguing that the current process treats minority groups unfairly.
The lawmakers are examining what Congress can do — if anything — to fight racial profiling, iron out sentencing disparities and rein in other deep-rooted biases they say plague both the legal process and the country as a whole.
The push comes weeks after George Zimmerman, a Florida neighborhood watch volunteer, was acquitted of murder charges in the killing of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed African-American teenager, in a gated subdivision last year.
The Zimmerman verdict has opened up a debate about race even as some participants in the trial downplayed it. President Obama earlier this month questioned what would have happened if Martin had been white or Zimmerman black.
Behind House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Democrats staged a public hearing on Tuesday to encourage a national conversation — both rare and uncomfortable — about racism in America.
“Racism is not simply about African-Americans. Racism is present in every one of our communities,” said Rep. Steny Hoyer (Md.), the chamber’s Democratic whip. “We need to be conscious of it; we need to confront it; we need to deal with it.”
Democrats on Tuesday steered mostly clear of advocating for specific policies, instead asking broader questions about Congress’s role in the race debate. Rep. Xavier Becerra (Calif.), chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, wondered, for instance, how much power Congress has to alter racist views.

The whole “discussion” is based on the false premise that the differences in incarceration rates are based on racial injustice rather than the truth that black people commit more crime. If the entire “discussion” is based on a false premise then why even engage in it?
“Discussion” is in quotes because we all know that Liberals do not want an actual discussion on why there is a higher percentage of black men in prison. Instead, they want to continue to lecture based on their fallacies, and label any contradictory facts or views as “racist”.

I would say Zimmerman had a very real reason to become concerned when a black man was smashing his head in.
Racial justice is newspeak for reparations and preferential treatment under the law.
After sixty years of holding my tongue and hoping for the best, they won’t want the conversation I would bring.
Whenever a punk teenager who has visions of gangsta wannabe grandeur enters my neighborhood, I will watch him/her closely...black, white, yellow, brown, or red. If the punk, gangsta wannabe teenager, assaults me, I will shoot them.
Teach your kids...black, white, yellow, brown, or red...to stay home late at night, to avoid looking suspicious, and to respect grown ups who question them. In other words, teach your kids to be good citizens.

They have been told that racism has been what has kept them down for several generations. The relative few who escape from the hood face more resistance from other blacks than from the whites.
That was not merely some time in the past, that was in an alternate universe. The Current Occupant of the White Hut can't be held accountable for any utterances from more than two weeks ago. But the message (changing only in minor details) gets repeated on a near-daily basis.

America has discussed the issue of blacks in America. Decisions were arrived at after much discussion over the last decades and we have concluded:
1. Grigsby was correct - The Democratic Party IS teh “party of treason”.
2. All race based laws, regulations, ad nauseam must be repealed because America really consists of one people.
3. Those who disagree should leave.
4. Americans will henceforth take care of their own children and no American shall be taxed to support the child of another.
5. America likes its Constitution and trusts in the 2nd Amendment far more than mere AgencyPersons.
6. Americans will continue to arm themselves against the likes of social predators outside of the government like St. Skittles and inside the government - like you and your treasonous Democratic colleagues.
In short, Nannie Dearest, Americans wish you the best with your next face lift but wish to tell you that if pushed to decide between their guns and the 2nd Amendment, they did not choose you.
