IRS chief Daniel Werfel says he wants to keep his health care plan, not switch to Obamacare:
"Mr. Werfel, last week your employees who are a member of the National Treasury Employee's Union sent a form letter for union members to send in to ask they be exempt from the exchanges," a congressman asked. "Why are your employees trying to exempt themselves from the very law that you're tasked to enforce?"
"I don't want to speak for the NTEU, but I'll offer a perspective as a federal employee myself and a federal employee at the IRS," said the IRS chief. "And that is, we have right now as employees of the government, of the IRS, affordable health care coverage. I think the ACA was designed to provide an

The nomenklatura want their special treatment. 0bamacare is for the little people.
When you see the rats scurrying to jump off the ship, what does that say about the ship?
Obamacare is for the subjugated masses.
Too bad... so sad... Stand over there with the rest comrade...
I won’t hold back. To the Capital Prick at the I.R.S. I had affordable health insurance before you @sshats voted for Democrats to be in charge of not only my health care, whether or not I recieve it and whether I can receive subsidies while having access to all my finances. You, Capital Prick at the I.R.S. will rot in hell. Eventually!
Friggin' hypocrite!
Dittos to THAT!
Well pardon me for being blunt since us paens out here don’t have any choice,I submit you sir as a government SERVANT,you don’t get one either,we can solve your problem by closing the IRS
Affordable? Because I pay for it, not you.
Nothing the low-information voter won’t read or hear about for themselves.
Talk about an empty suit. Where in the world do they get these guys? So he says, “I think the ACA was designed to provide an option or an alternative for individuals that do not [like there coverage]. But where exactly are the funds going to come from to pay for obamacare if not from picking the pocket of those that are happy with their coverage?
This should be plastered on every bus stop, subway and outside of every unemployment office and local entitlement office so Obama’s voters can see what a frigging deal they got. The people responsible for FINING you Obama monkey voters and telling you what you deserve don’t even want the damned AFHCA insurance....hear that?
ALL employees of government (local, state, federal) should have to suffer under their own shitty laws like the rest of us!
Well come onnnn , that’s the way it should be shouldn’t it? The aristocracy rules and we get the privilege to support them! I feel *so* lucky! I do hope Obama approves another $100 million in bonuses for them.
Did anyone else hear Newt on Ingrahams show this a.m.?
Newt sided with Mike Lee, Ted Cruz et al. Ingraham tried every possible way to argue and reason Newt out of taking their side, but he did not budge on it.
What Newt said was, you must start from the premise that Obamacare is an unmittigated disaster for healthcare, the economy, freedom, etc. From that factual premise, you cannot - CANNOT - argue that you must nevertheless vote to fund it.
He said, GOP, spend the next weeks pounding home what a disaster this is for our country. That it is so horrific, it is simply out of the question to vote funding for it.
Then, follow Mike Lees plan, pass a CR that funds EVERYTHING ELSE but Obamacare.
Show that it isnt a government shutdown theyre seeking but to stop something that is so destructive they cannot vote to fund it.
Thereby Obama will show his hand that he so loves the idea of forcing this horrific monster on Americans, he would rather shut down the entire government.
Ingraham was pretty much left disarmed by her interview with Newt. She shot every arrow of concern in her quiver and could not land one, not one.
Republicans are Ball-Less.
So basically Obamacare will be forced on the politically unconnected.
If there was ever an issue for the Republicans, that would appeal to former enemies; this might be it.
Laura does NOTHING but BEAT UP on Conservatives.....she is so RUDE tot hem, I turn her off.
well i’m just a commoner and i don’t want obamacare
i tell u one thing, if Congress and staff r exempted from obamacare, i will protest and revolt. PERIOD
Not only a hypocrite, but an idiot.
The affordable coverage he has now will be made to disappear. That is the plan. Obama is going to close down all other Insurance companies and plans and put everyone except himself and maybe Congress on Obamacare.
Newt ping. If only .....
This ignorant fool is under the delusion that everyone has that choice. No clue as to how the law incentivizes business to drop their plans and/or reclassify employees from full- to part-time. And his agency is going to be the enforcer?
Too freaking bad... let Congress and the executive branch get the same rotten deal as the rest of us. I have long though we need a Constutional amendment that Congress and the Executive branch that prohibits them from being exempted from any law.
I know how you feel.
However, there are at least two ways to look at this as I would see it. Harness this focused outrage (yes, even in Caesar's own palace) to help push this boondoggle over once and for all, or keep on scoffing and see nothing happen because we're paralyzed in hatred.
I think every law congress passes should go through a testing phase.
Every politician in Washington should be required to live there for five years and have to live under their own laws for five years before they are applied to the public.
Including federal workers.
Proper way to test whether they work or not.
The video below is on the Senate floor, where all the reasons are explained why Obamacare should not be funded.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
The ruling elite wants a cushy life, courtesy of the hard-working producers. It wants special privileges. It wants exemptions from the laws that it makes for the common folk.
Well Danny, yesterday you were a useful idiot. Today you’re just an idiot.
“Democrats are Law-Less
Republicans are Ball-Less.’
I’m convinced Republicans are compromised. When they come to Washington they fall to sex, money, or promises of power. Obama has the goods on all of them, particularly the leadership, and is controlling them through implicit threats to expose. We might all be surprised how many of our Christian values GOP representatives have enjoyed a Monica moment or have enriched themselves through an insider land deal or stock tip.
GFY, Werfel.
Careful what you wish for.
Suppose they pass a law to pay each one of them 1, 2 or more million dollars a year for five years. Yeah that’s the ticket.
Their petition is garnering more signatures, every day.
Well Mr Werfel, you voted for it, now eat it!
Now, that was funny!
That’s probably what they would do.
I'm not eligible for Social Security because my work time is federal, I don't have enough credits to qualify for Social Security and even if I did, the government would take back approx. 60 percent of it in the 'government pension offset' which prevents government retirees from double dipping.
lolz
the overlords’ own minions are not happy
The new “separate but equal,” gubmint employees vs everybody else.
I never tune in. I quit early last year when she started promoting Romney. That did it.
Nice when they admit how wicked they are, isn’t it.
I feel conflicted. If the unions hate it...
As far as healthcare goes, SS doesn't come into play. It is whether or not your eligible for Medicare. It is my understanding that if one is eligible for Medicare, Medicare becomes the primary provider and your regular insurance becomes secondary.
