Can’t speak ill of Dear Leader. Not in Obama’s America.
How dare he step off the plantation!
What was he thinking when he criticized Traybama!
To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.- Voltaire
or , Put It Back Where You Found It
Chattanooga Free Press...except the Free part, and the Press Part~
Otherwise, He clearly needs to be sent to a re-education camp, get his mind right.
Heck—I would have given him a raise!
I believe we still have a constitution that makes free speech a right.
Meanwhile Obama was happy to see Shepard Fairey’s “FEAR BUSH” stickers illegally posted on stop signs and parking meters. So much was he proud of these, that he was happy to have Mr. Fairey’s help illegally posting the “HOPE” “CHANGE” posters.
This was a newspaper. And you can be sure SOMEONE got an angry phonecall to effect this change.
The Narrative says Obama is still well liked.
Free Press editor Drew Johnson has been terminated after placing a headline on an editorial outside of normal editing procedures.
Johnsons headline, Take your jobs plan and shove it, Mr. President: Your policies have harmed Chattanooga enough, appeared on the Free Press page Tuesday, the day President Barack Obama visited the city.
The headline was inappropriate for this newspaper. It was not the original headline approved for publication, and Johnson violated the normal editing process when he changed the headline. The newspapers decision to terminate Johnson had nothing to do with the content of the editorial, which criticized the presidents job creation ideas and Chattanoogas Smart Grid. The Free Press page has often printed editorials critical of the president and his policies.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press is unique in that it has two editorial pages, the conservative Free Press page and the liberal Times page. This newspaper places high value on expressions of divergent opinion, but will not permit violations of its standards.
haha that's good.
Said editor worked for a paper called the “Free Press”...oh the irony.
Sounds like The Chattanooga Times Free Press is The Pravda of Chattanooga.
This rag wouldn't last a week in Britain.
Putin must be so jealous, the U.S. media censors itself for their Dear Leader.
They fire him, but leave the leftist idiot that keeps writing hard-left demeaning cartoons for the paper. One of the reasons that I don’t get that leftist rag.
They oughta handle it the way the administration would: fire him, promote him, hire him back.
I thought it was a reasonably clever play on Johnny Paycheck’s hit song, “Take This Job And Shove It.”
not a Johnny Paycheck fan, eh?
We live in a DICTATORSHIP!!!
Anyone else wonder who runs the Media?
Owned and operated by the DNC.
Der Sturmer in America.
Thought crimes against Dear Leader, we cannot dishonor him with the truth. He has fine clothes...
You can’t even speak ill of a city counil member without getting arrested these days. (or question your utility bill in Tennessee)
I’ll pay $20 and shipping for a copy of that newspaper.
Somebody must have thought that this attack on der Fuhrer was “rasis”. The “media” should never attack THIS president. Save that for when another Republican is in the Oval Office.
Does anyone read a newspaper any more?
Do NOT criticize our Dear Reader!
Larry Conners, St. Louis news anchor, fired for daring to say he was harassed by the IRS after giving Obama a tough interview.
He ain’t workin’ there no more.
I always wondered how it was, the good German citizens could allow a dictator to arise.
Now I know. I simply watch my neighbors and observe the ennui, apathy, and lethargy.
Dictatorships grow in soil no one tends.
We need to fertilize the political soil again, methinks.
In 1928, if you’d told your average German about the Holocaust they would have said “that couldn’t happen here.” In 1955 they all started asking “how could we have let this happen?”
It can happen anywhere. It can happen here.
True enough, and maybe just as well if they don’t have the backbone.
At root it’s spiritual.
America started with gospel power. The human implementation was deeply flawed (chattel slavery was a curse which now keeps on giving) but it was as good as it was due to gospel power.
Chatt Free Press is actually conservative owned I think
They are mad he acted renegade
“conservative owned” is meaningless if you run the AP, New York Times and Washington Post stories on every page
I live 100 miles up the road from Nooga
I am there at least monthly
My middle boy is at summer camp there right now on lookout mt for 10 days
I am familiar with the paper
They are more editorially conservative than 95 percent of media orgs in the US
They agree with the editor but not his end run
Its basically two former papers combined
The fact it has predominate right leaning views makes it hardly meaningless in a vast sea of progressive papers
