There is a movement to and legislation calling for repeal of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution: http://repeal16thamendment.com/

Congressman Steve King (R-IA-4) introduced H.J. Res 16 on the first day of the 113th Congress. Rep. Rob Woodall, (R-GA-7) is the only co-sponsor. So far as I know, there is no companion legislation in the Senate.

We need to write, call, fax, email our CongressCritters and Senators and urge them to get on board with both the FairTax legislation — H.R.25 (70 co-sponsors) and S.122 (7 co-sponsors) and H.J. Res 16.

So, we have our work cut out for us!

Thank you for your comments. I wanted to post the entirety of my presentation before the HW&M committee. I have a speech version which I may post sometime in the future,

The point is to keep the conversation going.

We the People must come together to replace the income tax with the FairTax and abolish the IRS!

The time is ripe to ratchet up the conversation, and that is my intent.

Maybe it's time to post some comparisons between a grad inc tax, a flat income tax, and an nrst?

I'll go to fairtax.org and get some new prebate numbers and come up with something. I'll need new quintiles from BLS too if you have a good link...

Actually this is the best page to re-introduce the nrst:

It never passed in the first place, it is known as the “Law that Never Was”.

Bill Benson was right, but, HST, the courts have ruled that it did, so we have to go through the process to repeal the 16th.

Are you All In?

Or Out?
