Look back at some of the threads during the primary. You can find them. They post in every election thread. Usually their posts are cut-and-paste dissertations, not discussions. Anyone who posts any opposition are responded to with tirades, insults, name calling, and similar personal attacks.
And no matter which candidate you support, they always fire with ‘well why don’t YOU take in 100K illegals since you love them so much?’

Most of my old essays are in my links section, which needs serious rework. I should put it on my main page. ‘In the dock’ means they are in-process and forthcoming. Are you on my ping list?

One thing I don’t see so much of in the summertime these days is grasshoppers. Used to be that you could walk through a field and grasshoppers would be leaping in front of you in all directions. Little green ones and larger brown ones that had wings - only they could only fly for a short distance.

Great list. Since I’ve been here for a long time, I can verify that there are people paid to wreak havoc on conservative sites. Those who were around here during the Clinton Lewinsky saga can attest to this. They are most effective when they can get conservatives fighting each other as happened during the last primary season.
A couple of other categories that come to mind (or variations on your list):
1. Expanding on the Downer, there are those who are quick to label Issa, or Boehner, or McConnell, or any other GOP leader as ineffective, incompetent, stupid, etc. I don’t know what they expect - that those guys can just snap their fingers or utter a word and bring the whole Obama administration down? (what I just wrote will bring those people out of the woodwork, no doubt). Anyhow, the defeatism is quite tiresome and reminds me of whiny two year olds. I guess I would call them the Downer Armchair Quarterbacks -like they could do better if they were in the same position.
2. The Tin Foil Hat Distractors. They always pop up with a wild, out in left field take on the situation. I mean, these folks make Art Bell appear perfectly sane and reasonable.

You my FRiend are not what I am referring to as what the opposition likes to call “mean spirited”. There are some here who do make racist comments and insults. I am not talking about people who point out that blacks commit a disproportionate amount of violent crimes. That is just stating a fact. I am talking about those who make an issue of Obama’s big lips or wide nose rather than keeping the focus on his leftist ideology. I and most conservatives would be happy with a president who is ugly as sin or black as coal or dark red or even purple. Just know how to balance a budget, actually care about the people you represent, and don’t be a tyrant. There’s at least a start.
As far as the “quick, fair trials and fine hangings, drawings and quarterings, burnings at the stakes” I am all in with you. I don’t think these are cruel and unusual punishments for the crimes being committed. What this administration is doing to us is cruel and unusual; and we have not received due process or a fair trial.
