Media: A Tennessee newspaper fired an editor over a hard-hitting editorial denouncing President Obama's jobs plan on the very day the president came to town to tout it. This has the odor of White House revanchism.
ngbfThe Chattanooga Times Free Press insists that its firing of Drew Johnson for the title of his editorial, "Take Your Jobs Plan And Shove It, Mr. President," was unrelated to content, and merely a case of an insubordinate editor changing his headline to a riff on a song by Nashville singer Johnny PayCheck over another headline. Frankly, it's hard to believe.
For one thing, it's odd in the news industry to fire someone over a headline that could easily be reversed on the Internet, if that's the issue. And it's strange for a newspaper to be angry about a headline that must have drawn hundreds of thousands of hits to the paper's website, with a prominent link on the Drudge Report.
Would they prefer a dull headline over one that readers wanted to click?
Lastly, Johnson said he changed headlines all the time at the last minute, something common in the industry.

The outrage is not that the White House pressured the paper, it’s that the paper CAVED.
The press was once one of the main safeguards of our liberty but there is no more honor or integrity in the profession.
Yes. It is too bad that We the People have no counter to a dishonest press.

Drew Johnson took a political position against the president. The editorial was SUPPOSED to be debating whether Obama made his blue tie look better or his red one. Drew Johnson failed to stay on topic and got what he deserved.

Doubtful it is a coincidence, but I am still a bit annoyed with this story. It’s pure speculation without even the thinest whiff of a smoking gun. Not very professional.

The question is, HOW could you selectively get rid of 30 million people in a short period of time ?
Funnier still is that they paid off the hit man, even though he botched the job, and they did it with your tax money.
I do not know, but I suspect the communist Obamanites are trying to figure that out right now. When they come up with the final solution, watch out.
