I love how the words just casually roll off his tongue, as if he had been saying them all his life.
Which he has. But there is no such thing as black racism, don't you know? Using a racial epithet to describe one's political opponents is accepted behavior. Or at least it must be because the only people saying anything about it are those on the right.
But even at 83, dressed in a blue bow tie and crisp gray suit, Rangel is relentless toward those who he feels are slowing the forces of progress.

One would think that with all of the back taxes that Rangel owed that he would be all for the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party.
The word “cracker” doesn’t offend me at all, as its just a childish retaliation for the n-word and has no meaning other than color. I, for one, am not ashamed of being white, nor do I have any guilt about the self-imposed plight of blacks. I have nothing to do with as I don’t discriminate, and I never owned any slaves.
The “old black males”, I.e. Rangel, Sharpton, Jackson, etc, seem to not be able to shake their glory days of marching arm in arm through Selma singing “we shall overcome”. Why they want to continue fighting a civil rights battle(s) that they’ve already won is ridiculous. Everything in America and every concession and advantage has been tilted their way. Yet these same hanger-on’ers get whipped out of shape if a southerner displays any pride in the southern tradition.
They claim diversity, yet can’t tear away from the one-size-fits-all plantation of the democrat party, and show very little initiative of surviving without government handouts.
The only things I think of when I hear “cracker”, is soup, and the old Atlanta baseball team from the 50’s.

I’d imagine when you get as old as Rangel that it must be depressing and frustrating to watch your people fall so far behind EVERY OTHER GROUP that lands here. As one of their “leaders” it doesn’t reflect well on him.
Think of how far many blacks have fallen during Rangel’s lifetime...

Why would any normal person care what Charlie Rangel says. I do worry about him helping formulate policy and laws, not what dribbles out of his pie hole.

You nailed it. The racialists hate their own so-called race (which is really nothing more than a group of physical characteristics and maybe some cultural characteristics resulting from free association with people who have similar physical characterstics).
So they want to stir up more hatred and animosity from people of other so-called races. They promote white-guilt/self-hatred and black-self-loathing.
When whites respond with stunts like white student organizations and white-only scholarships, it just plays into their hands. We cannot counter racism with racism.
We must keep switching the subject back to character and ideology. Conservatives do not care about a person’s so-called race. Liberals care about little else. The democrat party is just a coalition of many diverse, unrelated, disaffected groups. If their leaders cannot keep them stirred up and angry at outsiders (aka conservatives) then their anger will become directed at their own ineffective leaders.
And that is exactly what we all need.

Probably a stupid question, but, were Rangel’s remarks carried by any major news organization? I suspect not but “hope springs eternal”.
White crackers are not to be confused with brown crackers or black crackers.
Blacks are thin skinned - we’re not. We don’t put people in jail or beat them up for calling us names. That’s a black thing.... a gangbanger loser style... That said Rangel has shown his true colors...he’s a lowlife.
Pretty ballsy for a proven tax cheat, but hey Charlie has lived long enough to know Black Democrats aren’t held responsible for ANYTHING they say or do.
