... theres plenty of money, its just the government doesnt have it. In other words, they to wrest the money away from the good folks who do "have it" ... i.e. have EARNED it with hard work, scrimping, saving, doing without, etc. You know .... rich folks, like you and me ... we can certainly afford to have more of OUR money confiscated to give to those who don't have it ... you know (again), like those on food stamps, etc.

And they wonder why small businesses like ours are not hiring. Rather, they’ve gone ‘Galt’ or are on ‘slow roll’ (us). The ‘Progressives’ actually believe that if they simply raise taxes, those who understand creating value will simply pay more.

You do not have a right to run or enforce anything.
Your boy king has described the Constitution correctly .
The United States Constitution is a charter of negative rights, in that it describes what the government May not do to you.
Is a charter of enumerated powers. 17 in fact.

People like, George Soros, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Paul Krugman, Joe Stiglitz, Jeffrey Sax, Dean Baker, Robert Poland, Larry Summers have said they all support a transaction tax, Ellison said.
Tax the use of money or just the operation of transferring it from savings to checking and then to purchase something.
The next steps really are logical, tax property as a federal tax and then tax the states for the amount of Federally owned property located within a states borders and then start confiscating the private and state owned property outright to resell it for more money.
The real question is this: At what point does ‘other peoples money’ truly run out? I don’t know, maybe when they run out of property to steal and sell and then start on the physical bodies of their citizens?
That sounds far out doesn’t it? But then China does something very similar, they kill their ‘dissidents and undesirables’ and harvest their organs for sale to the highest bidder.
One could go on and on and sound even more outrageous and kooky, but... There is a kernel of truth and the possibility to go along with it. The point of course to all of this is when the People, the true citizens of a nation no longer trust their elected officials and Government(s) then the end is not just in sight, it’s there staring you in the face and daring you to “do something about it”.
To: Lancey Howard
Not likely. There is no need for them to seize entire assets when they can just pass transaction taxes, sales taxes, eliminate 401K tax breaks and the like and get the money that way.

Ellison nearly slipped up twice -- 'the government has a right'.
He probably wanted to say 'the government has a right to it.'
That sort of runs along the same line of thinking as Hillary Clinton's comment about taking from the rich and redistributing it.

This toady of the far Left ought to be confronted in his own district by people familiar with the fact that not one word in the Constitution that he was sworn to uphold, gives the Federal Government any role in housing, civilian health, or redistributing other people's money!
Someone ought to run against him, demanding that he read the Constitution, over & over again, so that it actually piques the interest of those constituents, to see what the fuss is all about. (A reverse of Bill Clinton's "its about the economy, stupid.")
The Left repeats their big lies, like a drum beat, until--like the children following the Pied Piper--they lead the people astray. We need to start repeating the truth like a drum beat, when dealing with these lying scoundrels, until people start to look at the facts for themselves.

Translation: The government has the right to take money away from people who learned the language, stayed in school, obeyed the law, got productive jobs, and give it to yammering, lazy, violent punks who still can't speak or write minimally proper English after more than 200 years in the country and who think that having a regular job is being "too white."

The fact that the govt doesn’t have control of more money is a good thing, a very good thing. Now we just need to get them to spend less, a lot less. A consequence of that would be a lot less govt interference in our lives. Also a very good thing. The govt, domestically, should be small and weak.

The government has a right, the government and the people of the United States have a right to run the programs of the United States. Health, welfare, housing all these things. I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents. ― James Madison
Now who knows more about the Constitution and the powers it gave to government - its author James Madison or complete assclown Keith Ellison.
Personally I think that all the zeros in the money are being horded by the U.S. Mint and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Just mint a few trillion dollar coins and quadrillion dollar bills and everything will be fine.

Uh...Mr. Ellison...if the government doesn't have the money, it's broke, pal. Otherwise, if we buy into your leap of illogic here, you're saying that you, Keith Ellison, otherwise a penniless pauper, have plenty of money because a few of your neighbors are gainfully employed. Their prosperity is your prosperity, isn't that right, Mr. Ellison? You yourself are wealthy because your neighbors aren't complete financial morons.
We'd like to see you put your own money where your mouth is, Mr. Ellison. Draft and file for consideration by the Congress a bill authorizing the Liberal Advocacy Surtax. Vote for Democrats, and you are volunteering to pay an additional 50% levy on all income derived from whatever source.
Let's see if your actions can possibly measure up to your high-sounding words, Mr. Ellison.
