The Real J. Edgar Hoover? (The rumor that he was gay was Communist disinformation)

There’s a bit in the Army hearings with McCarthy and Cohn where one of the persons (a senator, I think) asks about a photo Mr. Cohn is exhibiting (of a soldier with an officer, I believe). The whole thing is shown to establish that some soldier who got some kind of “preferential treatment”, it was accused by the Left (again if I remember), got his leave/vacation because he “knew” the officer he was pictured with in the photo, not because of behind the scenes maneuvers by McCarthy/Cohn in exchange for friendly testimony about Communist inflitration into the miltiary/State Department.

It was really “off in the weeds” stuff but the Commie filmmaker who redacted the hearings footage down to “Point of Order” in the 60s or 70s thought it relevant to show “McCarthy/Cohn faked photos just as they accused the Communists of doing” (a third person was cropped out of the enlarged photo, not painted out, the critics point being that the officer was looking at the other officer, not the soldier in between them).

ANYWAY, the person (a Senator I think) asks Mr. Cohn where he got the photo and asks if he got it from a “fairy godmother”, emphasis on fairy, and Mr. Cohn replies that he don’t know nuthin’ about no fairies, to the laugh of everyone in the room. Basically Mr. Cohn was being called out by the Pinko Democrats as a faggot.

And the “horrible” crime of Mr. Cohn was to state that there had been Communists loyal to the USSR infiltrated in the US military and State Department. There are Islamists loyal to jihad there today.

“HOW DARE YOU?” was the shocking charge. F’ a bunch of stinking commies.
