Seems interesting and a little scary to me that the specific terror threat alerts that DHS & FBI sent to local law enforcement was ‘classified’. They don’t do that very often. What to make of it?
The day that DHS starts recording all the departures of visa holders from the US, I will take note of their achievement. Until then it is all BS and a jobs program.
Most of the security threats we face came in on a valid visa and overstayed. Round em up.
Am wondering if military and Leo have been asked to wear uniforms and become very public. Does DHS wear t shirts. Remember seeing two soldiers in fatigues and a guy in T shirt with letter wearing combat boots talking to them in Walmart this morning. Didn’t think much of it at the time. Several National Guard on Road this week but that’s normal for summer time. Training camp just up the interstate
Well, there’s sunny news and horrific news about this.
They’re going to keep a close eye on jihadis (per POSHITUS) and round them up if they start ululating tomorrow
OR
You, me and thousands of other FReepers will be swapping recipes behind concertina soon.
Sorry, I know who the enemy is, and it’s us.
I honestly don’t know what to make of any of this. I’ve gotten so cynical.
Though it does seem unlikely this much would be going on without some legit Intel.

U.S. officials are increasingly concerned about Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and its master bomb maker, Ibrahim al Asiri, who allegedly built the underwear bomb used to nearly blow up an airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day 2009....
However, Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole has said that al Asiri developed a new type of explosive that might be able to slip through security.
"All of our explosive detection equipment, which screens over a million checked bags every day just in the U.S., wasn't calibrated to detect that," Pistole said.
