There is a theory, that one of the reasons that we haven’t seen or heard any aliens, advanced (visiting) or not (radio signals), is that the span of time between creatures developing radio to blowing the hell out of themselves is about 100-200 years, much less than a blink of an eye in cosmological terms. Predators and other hunter/gatherers are the only creatures that need to and therefore develop significant intelligence...so ironically, that winds up being their downfall. Somehow, I find this actually dovetails well into the book of Genesis, with knowledge (technology, artifice)=eventual doom!
