With the IRS doing the collecting I can't see how you can refuse.

Well, you can, but who among us is going to have the intestinal fortitude to fight them in federal court over it? I seriously hope there are a few.

You’ll need two lists: one for supplies and one for traitors. Wouldn’t want to miss a traitor due to memory lapse, when the roundup comes.

Only those with deep pockets who don't really need to work...but they will be exempted anyway.

We’re going to have to put together a class action lawsuit, then. If that won’t work, then there’ll have to be a nationwide tax revolt to stop it.

Well, I guess you told me. I am not afraid of a fight, and will fight, but still don’t know what that really means in practical terms these days for an old lady. Stop paying my taxes? March on the Capital? Or just hunker down and prepare for the inevitable? We are taking cheap crap on a daily basis from this regime and their minions spread out across the Nation. I need to hear some specifics as to what to do & how to do it.

The first time the jack boots try that, will probably be the last. The country's like a dry prairie just waiting for the right spark to light it up. With odds at 100: 1, it's the last thing they want.

You would be dead wrong there

Socialist and Marxist Oligarchies of the kind Obama is creating - REQUIRE bloodshed, chaos and misery. It's the final tool used to achieve total power

A domestic threat to their power and security is the justification they need in order to impose subjugation by force.

Why do you think they so desperately wanted to pin every act of violence in the last 5 years on "The right wing"?

Know history - it teaches this lesson well.

The Obama regime is already well ahead of us in terms of planning to rule with an iron fist. 1.6 billion rounds, tanks, drones and APCs at DHS aren't for Mexicans or Jihadists.

Know what time it is, because chains and then mass graves are our near future if we wait much longer to resist this crap.

...why in the world should we obey this law?
Don’t worry. We won’t.

Start asking all of your doctors what their cash price is.

**

Might as well. Likely won’t be any more than the regular and rising premiums being currently charged to cover your own care, but moreover, the care of others.

Might as well pay and KNOW you are paying for your OWN care, ONLY.

While we’re at it, let’s privatize the rest of society and kick these bums to the curb!!!!

Right. They will fine and or imprison you for noncompliance. No one can escape the IRS unless you go underground which is not easy to do, e.g. Galt. However I refuse to cut off my nose to spite my face. I will continue my standard of living as long as I can. Of coourse my company is still paying most of my healthcare ... Thus far. :-)

You are correct. This was a fast move by nobama and without Congressional approval, other than maybe all the dem Congress-critters behind closed doors.

It was “announced” just as Congress was recessed and the WhiteyHut’s intention was to smear conservative Congress-people with the implication they were in on some secret deal.

Jeeze, from looking at some FR responses, it was a good smear plan against conservatives.

This got support from republicans. There were many republicans claiming that their "staffers" couldn't afford it any other way. I'm pretty sure I read a statement in one of the articles I looked at in which Sen. Tom Coburn says essentially that very thing.

That train pulled out of the station long ago, My FRiend. The time to hit the streets was 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012. The supporters, 25-35 year olds are starting to cry now. Just wait 20 years down the road when they reach 55 and 45. The more they cry, the happier it makes me. When I tried to tell them what was going to happen, they let me know right quick that I was full of shit. Now I am a sorry bastard because I am laughing at their misery.

Huh? According to you, 100 to 1 odds mean nothing against Obama's war machine, so what's the point?

Know history.....

You want to invoke history? Glad to oblige.

During the Iraq war, no more than (an estimated) fifteen thousand jihadist fighters tied up the entire American military for TEN long years. We did not achieve a crushing, definitive, and lasting victory there. We left that country without achieving anything approaching a complete capitulation of the enemy. No sooner had we left, than the radical Islamists again began to take control.

And you seriously believe that some misguided, dictatorial President can achieve real victory against an armed population of 100 Million of his own citizens??

You're paranoid and completely overwhelmed by a bunch of cowardly cretins who don't have the power to lay a finger on you in a real fight.

And you seriously believe that some misguided, dictatorial President can achieve real victory against an armed population of 100 Million of his own citizens??

Absolutely.

A weapon in the hand is useless if there is no willpower to use it.

Look what Obama and his MarxoFascists have been able to do with impunity in the face of 100 million armed citizens and a military he craps on daily.

Under the color of law, our rights and liberties have been exponentially stripped away and opposition has been largely silent and/or begrudgingly accepting of every encroachment upon them.

Obama has already achieved that which you say he cannot. More than half the voting population put him in power. I would bet at least a majority of the urban population of this country is just fine with him remaining in power.

These enemies already DO have the power to lay a finger on anyone they choose. NSA, PRISM, XKeylogger - and suddenly Exigent circumstances and SWAT has a gun to your face because of some bogus charges and you go buh bye unless you have a crap ton of money to pay for a decent lawyer in kangaroo court system.

Perhaps talk to the fella still rotting in prison over the 'offensive video to Islam' that Obama insisted caused the Benghazi attack if you think these cretins do not have any power to lay a finger on you.

They can and they will if they think they can get away with it. And this regime is about as self-aware as to their imperviousness of being held to account as any other genocidal regime come into existence on this planet.

History doesn't lie. We need to see this enemy for what they are, and not underestimate them - or we won't stand a snowball's chance in a blast furnace of stopping them.

Like I said, you're paranoid, and have lost your grip on the potential dynamics at work here.

I'll say it again to see if it penetrates this time:

The entire might of the American military machine was unleashed upon an estimated 15 thousand Islamic insurgents in the Iraq war, and they STILL tied up our forces for TEN LONG YEARS, without us ever achieving real victory.

That is historical fact.

If a dictatorial President decides to go to war against 100 Million of his own ARMED and dedicated citizens, just how will the outcome be more favorable to his regime?

Using the above historically accurate data, logically explain your position to me.

Well there you go. You obviously don't believe that the American people have a breaking point, or that they would ever choose to defend life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, under any circumstance.

If that's truly what you believe, then why are you hanging around on this website? You've lost all hope, so what's the point?

Are you one of those who's just waiting to be shipped off to the gulag, and because of your own cowardice, you attempt to convince others that resistance is futile? Is that it?

I'll bet it is. I've seen that mentality at work here all too often.

You’re comparing apples to bowling balls and your grasp of history seems lacking.

Marxist coups and revolutions never started out subjugating their entire people by militarized force.

For years it was asked how an intelligent, industrial people in Germany could allow someone like Hitler and the Nazis to come to power, subjugate their people to his ideology, and exterminate whole segments of his population.

Now we know. We’re living it.

And no wonder - when folks like yourself decry such warnings and admonitions as ‘paranoid’. Lots of upstanding German businessmen of the Jewish religion made the same pronouncements in the beginning of similar warnings from countrymen.

They were exterminated.

Legally. Under the color of law and decrees that the German people knuckled under and accepted.

And the same damn thing is happening here - so says a relative of mine who survived Hitler’s Germany and emigrated here back in the 50’s. He says it’s deja vu for him - all over again. He’d seen and heard all of this before.

If the pictures I posted above and the accounts from Watertown are not enough to convince you of what I’m warning - then nothing I say or post will. You’ll stay deluded until what you think cannot possibly happen shows up on your doorstep.

But at that point, it will be too late for you and yours.

In fairness, in Iraq and elsewhere, the US military was bound by restrictive ROEs, and held to enforcing them by a hostile world that hoped for their defeat.

When it's time to fight against us, that won't be an issue.

There won't be any UN or Amnesty International whining when extremist right-wing racist homophobe Christian gun nuts are gassed, incinerated and vaporized by the latest weaponry.

It’s absolutely necessary.

But I’m not seeing any resistance to this Marxist crap - are you??

I’m warning people what is GOING to happen if we do not resist. I’m warning people WHAT this enemy now ruling us is really all about and what they will do given the same ideology in power in history.

You cannot win a war underestimating your enemy and believing in false bravado. You cannot win a single battle if you do not know the ground you are fighting on.

Is saying that I read about republicans griping over the "costs" their "staffers" would have to undergo "smearing"? I don't write the idiot articles just because I post them.

But....

"Relief trumps complaints from Hill GOP on ACA fix"

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/08/republicans-obamacare-fix-95147.html

Some Capitol Hill Republicans grumbled Friday about President Barack Obama’s decision to allow the government to keep contributing to lawmakers and Hill staffers’ health plans, but more were quietly relieved.

A handful of Republicans blasted the move as yet another Obamacare “waiver” from the White House, but many others said it was necessary to clear up confusion. OPM’s rule will ensure that they won’t have to shoulder the full cost of that coverage.

“I’m glad to see that we’re not going to see congressional staffer people punished for doing their job,” said Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.). “It was a major concern to them and they’re obviously relieved.”

A handful of Senate Republicans shot back against the administration’s decision. Minority Whip John Cornyn tweeted that it’s “an outrageous exemption for Congress” and Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) accused “establishment Republicans” of fixing the health care law for themselves but not for regular Americans.

“When it comes to protecting their own, they find a way to work beautifully with the Democrats,” he said in a statement.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who wrote the original amendment requiring staffers on the exchanges, said Congress should “live under the laws it creates.”

“The better choice would be to stop the law now before it undermines the current successful parts of health care in America,” he said in a statement to POLITICO. “But Congress should live under the laws it creates. That includes Obamacare. And, if the exchanges actually go into effect, Congress should pass a law to put White House and congressional leadership in the exchanges.”

The law does not require committee staff and leadership staff to leave their federal health plan. It is unclear whether OPM will change that.

Many lawmakers said they’re pleased that the worrisome matter is resolved—but used it to illustrate how deeply flawed they see the Affordable Care Act to be.

“All the confusion surrounding all of that—where leadership staff were not a part of it and regular congressional staff were—was just another bold highlight of the problems with Obamacare, and that’s why we need to repeal and replace it with real reforms that will bring down premiums,” said Rep. Charles Boustany (R-La.).

The administration’s decision resolves a question that had Hill staffers deeply worried for months: whether the government could still pay most of their insurance costs when they enroll in insurance exchanges on Jan. 1.

The law requires most Capitol Hill staff to buy their insurance on the exchanges. That opened up a question of whether the government could continue to contribute to their coverage; otherwise, staffers could have faced thousands more in insurance costs every year.

The decision essentially means that their employer—the federal government—will be able to help them with insurance costs, just like it does for other federal workers.

“All we’re doing is giving them the same kind of health care that anybody working at Tinker Air Force Base in my district has,” Cole said. “That was the health care they had when they came to work here, so I just think it makes no sense to punish them.”

Lawmakers of both parties feared a “brain drain” if already low-paid staffers left the Hill for better paying jobs and benefits. While Democrats had showed a willingness to consider legislation to repair what they called a flawed provision, many Republicans were reluctant to reopen the health law or be seen as improving it.

But even Republican opposition was cracking. Just this week, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) said he would consider a legislative fix if OPM ruled that the federal government couldn’t pay a portion of costs on the exchanges. He even put a hold on OPM nominee Katherine Archuleta because of the agency’s unwillingness to talk about the policy.

On Friday, Coburn’s office said he wouldn’t comment until the regulation was published.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said the provision was designed to hit members but was causing “collateral damage” to staff.

“It’s part of their compensation here — that they would have health insurance — and now they will under the Affordable Care Act through the exchanges,” Pelosi said.

Congress has always been above the law. DC is a district, not a state.

As a senator or congressman, you can smoke in chambers, while outside, you cannot.

That is just one example.

Federal laws do not apply to those in congress, they never have.

Seriously. Did you learn that from Obama? I just quoted verifiable historical facts from recent history to you, and you brush them off like I'm making it all up.

I posed an honest question to you about the very scenario we're discussing, and you wave it away while posing a very different scenario to me as an answer.

1930s Germany was very different than today's America, because of one important factor that exists here, and which I pointed out TWICE to you. That is the presence of an ARMED population numbering in the tens of millions.

Until a dictatorial U.S. President figures out how to get the estimated 300,000,000 firearms out of the hands of 100,000,000 citizens, it doesn't matter how badly he wants to subjugate us through force. It can't be done.

It's simple. We simply haven't hit our breaking point. The real pain and suffering hasn't hit us where we live yet. When it does, all bets are off.

And it will, because today's crop of left-liberals doesn't know when to let up. They see what they think is the finish line, and they've abandoned their old modus operandi, which was a slow and steady, incrementalism.

They've stomped the accelerator and are racing toward their ultimate goal of finishing off the America they despise. In the bargain, they've awakened the people, who are showing their alarm by pushing firearms sales into unprecedented ranges.

Look at everything the regime is doing. It spells commitment to me. They know that they've caused a panic, and they now intend to get out in front of it by beefing up the jack boot apparatus as fast as possible.

They're not stupid. They know we're going to snap, and they intend to be ready for it, but it's a fool's errand. The combined military forces of the planet can't overcome an armed citizenry 100 million strong, unless they resort to bombing the whole country back to the stone age.

That's not the plan. They want a permanent end to our constitutional form of government, and a feudal work force to support the ruling class forever. They can't achieve that, except through a slow process of coercion and indoctrination. They've already abandoned that, so the cat's out of the bag.

I'd say they're screwed any way you want to look at it.

In fairness, in Iraq and elsewhere, the US military was bound by restrictive ROEs, and held to enforcing them by a hostile world that hoped for their defeat.

When it's time to fight against us, that won't be an issue.

It won't be an issue for the people, either. Just like it wasn't for the insurgency in Iraq.

Who is Henry Bowman?
