You can read WaPo for free on their own site now. Bezos will charge. IMHO.

I think Amazon should change its name to ANACONDA.
It surrounds, pulverizes, kills everything in its path.
And have you ever actually looked at Bezos? Looks like a snake to me.

It's is possible that Bezos is saying, I transformed the book market...and now I'm going transform the newspaper market.
I would bet that he plans to use the Post as his flagship in a paradigm busting transformation.

They could try to launch a TV channel but no cable-satellite system is likely to carry it even if it was free for a year or two. They are too busy making space for channels like CURRENT, AL JAZEERA, PIVOT and Democracy Now!

It will be a fun hobby for me and I'm looking forward to it. I might even get to hang out at Martha's Vineyard with the "beautiful people" every once in a while.
Dang that sounds like a fun idea. Now I'm totally jelly of your future self.

From one liberal to another. Exactly what I was thinking.
Much ado about nothingexcept Bezos will have cash to pour into it.
Less the piddly amount I USED to spend at Amazon and AmazonPrime.

I wouldn’t doubt he’ll try. I’m just not convinced he can.
We’ll see.

Now we know why Obema went to Amazon last week to deliver his speech on jobs.

He owns Amazon, not Netflix

Yeah, a self made billionaire fool. He didn’t inherit Daddy’s money; the guy knows how to make his own. I wouldn’t underestimate him.
To: DoughtyOne
I am curious as to what kind of changes he has in mind.
As you say, we'll see.

So why is Obama using an Amazon warehouse as a stage setting for his speech on jobs? Amy Brundage, a deputy White House press secretary, said this to the Chattanooga Times Free Press: “The Amazon facility in Chattanooga is a perfect example of the company that is investing in American workers and creating good, high-wage jobs.” And: “What the president wants to do is to highlight Amazon and the Chattanooga facility as an example of a company that is spurring job growth and keeping our country competitive.”

Are those Amazon warehouse workers “high wage” jobs?

What difference does it make? Obama must take care of a person of influence who can be part of his MSM team. No doubt, Bezos will send money and plaudits to the regime.
