Gohmert: If We Probed Benghazi, We Wouldn’t Have to Close Embassies ‘Like Big Cowards’
PJ Tatler ^ | August 6, 2013 | Bridget Johnson

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said that without getting to the bottom of what happened at the Benghazi consulate, the administration feels like it has to close embassies in the face of a threat “like a bunch of cowards.”

“This administration’s idea that you can go give a pretty speech and apologize really well and then everybody will love you, which it has not happened. We’ve lost credibility in Muslim nations under this president,” Gohmert said this morning on Fox.

“If you don’t get to the bottom of why our security was breached in Benghazi, just like we never got to the bottom of why the embassies were bombed under President Clinton, then you have to close your embassies like a bunch of cowards,” he said. …

Plagiarizing ME from earlier about closing embassies:

I am thinking the administration will not/cannot make a decision to defend them.

It is all part of a predetermined and systematic ‘stand-down’ prior to the reduced global role “O” wants for the US in the future. Handing-off US foreign policy and autonomy to the UN would require this.

At the same time I guess, “O” wants the continued influence, power and respect that goes with a committed and strong US... go figure.

Everything about this administration is wholly incongruous with wanting and assuring a strong, free and influential US.

The US needs to get deeper into fracking and oil sands to be able to ignore the Middle East except for the occasional crusade to reduce Islam to the pre-historic culture that it really represents.

This guy nailed it. Exactly what I have been thinking.

Instead of acting like the most powerful nation on earth, we're slinking like cowards.

We couldn’t ignore the Middle East during the last two world wars, nor could we ignore them when the Barbary Pirates were causing all their trouble. It’s not all about oil.

On the contrary; The Won wants the US fatally weakened, afraid of its own shadow.

He wants "Third-world Hellhole" to be a status we aspire to.

He and the barbarians on the other end of his BlackBerry want to destroy all of Western Civilization.

"We're" slinking like cowards. Incorrect. Sparky the Wonder Prez (a.k.a. Brave Sir Robin) is the one running away from... something.

Something . . . like some bad YouTube video?

There's both the oil and the Islam.

Getting the Western World off of Middle Eastern oil will minimize the necessary interaction with the Islam.

Charles Martel showed that periodic military repudiation of Islam still remains as a gov't responsibility. Done well, it's likely only necessary every three generations (60 yrs) or so.

We’re slinking like those who have no choice given that we’re stuck with the Obamanation (or is it Jarrett?) in charge.

Why did we close all those embassies for a week? It’s not like some obscure director released a video insulting Islam or anything.

Pray for America to Wake Up

The correct way to say this would have been “Obama would not have had to close our embassies like a coward”

Countries like Russia are net oil and gas exporters, and haven’t ceased their interaction with Islamic nations.
