But they do live on the taxpayer dime and increasingly act like it.

I work with a lot of DoD civilians. There are jerks and there are good people, just like in the military and everywhere else I’ve been. They’re not taking it too kindly that they were forced to take a 20% paycut for no good reason.

Yeah, you’re right. They all deserve to be unemployed for existing in a profession you don’t approve of. Screw ‘em. At least the unionized Shaniqua and her sisters at IRS will be OK, as will her cousins at HHS. They’re all alike anyway.

What union? My daughter works for the Navy. She served in Iraq while in the Air Force and now she is a civilian employee with the Navy. She has a top secret security clearance. She’s not in any union. Is there something we don’t know ?

Look, I am no more happy that these people had to take a furlough than I am that over 40% of my company had to get laid off because of this damn President!

However, I really wish all those “oh, whoa are these pour people being forced to take 22 days off” groups would at least admit that - LIKE EFFING USUAL - the estimates from the government about the demise and abuse of their poor little employees was COMPLETELY OVER EFFING BLOWN!

Again, I am sorry for any person’s suffering from this stupid President’s economy, but I damn sure don’t feel sorry for those who swore this was the end of life for all military contractors as we know it! They were blowing smoke and screaming about these poor people, when we have ALL been screwed by this economy.

Like I said, when they have laid off over 9000 across the country like my construction company has had to do over the last four years, then I may, MAY start to have a blip on my GIVE-A-SH!T meter.

Simple fact is that this economy has been hard on everyone. Why in the hell are government workers supposed to be immune from the effects of our economy? Are they really that special? If so, then do you also agree that Congress and their toadies should be absolved from the effects of ObamaCare too?

The 11 days of furlough would have saved $2 billion and Congress approved a large reprogramming request which DoD submitted in mid-May “giving us the flexibility to move funds across accounts,” the defense secretary said.

IIRC, that was a bill Obastard repeatedly threatened to veto.
