President Barack Obama doesnt have a strong hand or the dominant personality needed to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and thats why the United States backed out of a September one-on-one meeting, says Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.
If they neither fear you nor respect you, its going to be awfully hard to talk them into letting (NSA leaker Edward) Snowden come back into the United States in our custody, King said Wednesday on Fox News Channels Hannity.

As he frantically waves his hand outward, demonstrating his lack of confidence and outright lie.
Poosy
Ah, he means politically and diplomatically. I thought this was a story about Obama’s AIDS.
Putin is a real man. He could make mincemeat out of Obumbo.
I think Putin is a Christian too. That is going to have weird effects when he meets this Obama.
A Christian that helps the worst kind of Islamists in Iran build nuclear weapons. (That puts him on Obama’s level as far as Christianity goes.)
Based on body language....I generally get the opinion that there aren’t many world leaders that President Obama meets, and feels comfortable around. Putin is an obvious issue with him, and I think Putin just laughs over the antics of the White House currently.
One of the key episodes that says a lot about international politics of this administration...is the initial weeks in 2009 where a gift was prepared for Gordon Brown of the UK...I think it was a collection of DVDs of US movies. Sadly, the incompetent guys running the show picked the US version, which won’t play on any European DVD player. So it was a worthless gift. I don’t think any of the folks on the White House staff have the knack or knowledge to handle international episodes. And this Snowden mess....just kinda made them stumble once again.
Putin’s light-years tougher than Obama and could drop him in a fraction of a second with zero effort, but a “real man” has character and not just brute force. If I want to give examples of real men, I’d look to the USA’s Founding Fathers.
Nobody said he was perfected... he’s got a lot to learn... does he really think Islam will leave Russia alone if it has nukes?... but at least he’s not a chicken. And domestically he seems to be a fairly moral character.
Keeping Zero away from Putin is simply one less embarrassment for America the world will get to watch.
If he were moral, he wouldn’t have been looking for loopholes to get back into the position of president after holding it for two terms prior, never mind creating the position of prime minister in the interim. That’s the rule of man versus the rule of law. Leopards don’t change their spots. And Christians do have to beware of such people pandering to them.
What moral principle says he shouldn’t?
...I mean, we are judging by American constitutional norms. It’s the Rooskies’ baby if their constitution has loopholes. Not ours.
Eh? So changing the constitution to suit the man at the top is morally OK?
Now you’re venturing into moral relativism. The rule of man versus the rule of law is still an absolute.
Some kind of parliamentary procedure went into it, no? Again that’s the Rooskies’ baby to watch. He’s one of the few world leaders who actually has something like a sane treatment of the homo issue. Don’t flaunt in public, we don’t want you recruiting, but we won’t burrow into your bedrooms if you insist on doing that amongst yourselves. Most others are either lying flat for this “gay marriage” stuff or else overreacting with things like threatening to send someone who suspects buggery and doesn’t rat on it to prison.
No, the rule of God’s grace is the absolute.
So you’re approving of the rule of man instead of the rule of law? That has always historically led to chaos, and the USA’s Founding Fathers knew that.
I mean did they really breach their constitution when it was amended? ... You might as well carp about the US being able to amend its constitution. It’s up to the people to do it sanely if such amendment is possible. You seem to be grasping at some kind of “spirit” but once you talk about “spirit” then you get into God’s bailiwick. Is Putin amassing power for the sake of mere pride? That will be wrong. Or is he a flawed but still useful instrument with some willingness in God’s hands? That will be right.
No, I am approving of the rule of God.
Plenty of “parliamentary procedure” has gone into tearing apart the US Constitution as well, not just judicial activism. Does not make it the rule of law.
And in light of the “rule of man” matter in Russia, the issue with homosexuals looks also like pandering to Christians in order for Putin to get what he wants.
Incidentally, God is all about the rule of law. That’s why the first five books of the Bible are called “the law”, a term used by Jesus Himself.
No, God is not all about the rule of law because law can never effect grace. Law can at best roughly frame grace in. Keep going to the New Testament, please.
The opposition candidate in the last election in Venezuela challenged the vote count irregularities in their Supreme Court. I guess he forgot he lived in a tyranny now. The court threw out his claims, in one page, fined him for disrespecting the government and told the government to investigate the opposition leader.
He could end up in jail.
.................
Our future?
If we insist on thwarting God’s grace, yes quite possibly. Law has a place; law is not the be-all and end-all, it is a framework for the operation of grace. There can never be a law through which wickedness cannot thoroughly twist.
With all due respect, you don’t understand grace, then. Grace does not free anyone from the obligation to obey the law (Romans 3:31); it frees us from the death penalty incurred from prior disobedience to itotherwise there would be no need for repentance to receive grace. Jesus was adamant about that when He said (in John 14:15) “If you love Me, obey My commandments” (talking about those commands/laws outlined in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5).
Oh, true grace WILL conform to the outline of the law. They come from the same spirit. However law framed as it is in man’s words, can be evaded if we stop there. It is the old “wrapping Jello in chicken wire” problem.
And no, that is lousy New Testament theology to hark at least Gentile Christians back to the Mosaic law. Acts 15.
And more to the point, we are speaking of divinely given law in any case. If we apply the same honor to human law then in fact, we have idolized it.
Right-o. I have seen some people compare Obama to Hitler. As despicable as Hitler was, he had earned something like 5 medals for bravery during WW1. Obama would be crying for his mommy before he got out of boot camp.
He needs to talk to Putin - 100,000 thousand Syrians dead since he started his April Spring - about 50,000 civilians.
The “Mosaic Law” is not the Ten Commandments, which were written by God’s own finger. God does not change (Malachi 3:6) and the scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35).
Paul (raised a Pharisee, take note) was not making up something new in Acts 15 and Romans 2. There are a number of references to the circumcision of the heart in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 10:16 and 30:6, Jeremiah 4:4), which was not generally available until after Jesus’ death and resurrection except to God’s prophets.
This is all an act,Obama will meet with Putin when he goes to the G20 summit,he has to,remember,I can be more flexible after the election,he could not talk with Putin now before putting on a show because of Snowden, but watch and see, this TRAITOR is determined to unilaterally disarm the United States.
Putin knows this and will play it for all its worth,he knows he will get everything he wants
It would be nice to have some not a chicken leaders. Of course, we have some chicken s..t leaders on steroids. With Obamacare and the domestic spying and persecution scandals, there are plenty of chicken s...s “leaders” in America. Some of them are limp wristed men, and some of them are bull dyke women. What a country. No wonder Putin laughs. He knows that we are in the final days of freedom. Our military and economic security are being rapidly debased, and one day, some foreign power, not necessarily a great power either, might simply give a “nudge” and America will collapse like a house of cards. Our epitaph will read: A nation of lions can not survive being lead by limp wristed chicken s...s.
LOL Russia will probably delay 0bama when he tries to enter Russian air space to embarrass him. Putin is playing chess and 0bama is playing tic tac toe.
Of course, the delay will be the result of a bureaucratic snafu.
In the comments below the article:
From an article in the Prague newspaper by Prager Zeitungon,
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”

Boy, he has that right.
Yes I think I’ve seen that quote - or one quite similar to it - around for years since nearly the time 0bama was “sworn” in...
sad
Looking up to a man that aids people bent on killing Americans is an interesting opinion to hold. Your definition of a real man is sad and pathetic.
Welcome to bizarro world, where the Russian President leads the forces of Christian civilization against a decadent American tyrant....
Well we have no party but there are 50 some million of us that tried to stop this demon of a president... it would be nice if someone recognized us at some point. It is like we do not exist at all.
I bet moochelle can take Putin.
Ya know she kicks obammy’s rear regularly but that’s like beating up an 8 year old brownie.
“We”? I don’t think it’s that simple. Liberals do not fit into that “we” category (which includes RINO fakers) and certainly not into the category of “Christian”. Remember that Obama does not believe that the USA is a Christian nation anyhow, saying so back in 2008; those that back him up in the areas you pointed out certainly subscribe to that point of view.
That’s the next move, indeed. And Mr. NASA Muslim Outreach is leaving the barn door wide open too.
That's 100 million. They should be running completely out of Syrians just about now.
The RATs are no "Christian nation".
LLS
Claiming to be Christian and actually being Christian are worlds apart. You shall know them by their fruits, as it’s written. And I have to say that I myself see our politicians no different from Putin either.
LLS
Well then... we are of like minds. I agree with you about many republicans and all rats. Have a great day... going to practice a bit of Capitalism.
