ALLARD: A generous second coat of the Benghazi whitewash
The Washington Times ^ | August 8, 2013 | by Col. Ken Allard

Posted on 08/08/2013 10:09:19 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

CNN spent an hour of prime time Tuesday night to air a special anchored by Erin Burnett, “The Truth about Benghazi.” They claimed to have learned two vital lessons from their supposedly extensive investigation of that tragedy: It must never happen again, and politics trumped patriotism.

Really? That’s it? Are you kidding? The smiling, earnest naivete of Ms. Burnett suggested a graduate student who worked, you know, like really hard at the library all weekend — but apparently didn’t get within spitting distance of a reasonable conclusion.

Of all the so called ‘professional’ career paths: scientists, doctors, lawyers, teachers and journalists, it is the journalist that has the least amount of required knowledge, the least amount of tools and the least amount of respect............

Now you've made them cry!

1. In 2013, there are few journalists to be found.

2. Did the mod really remove your About page?

Red Badger wroter:
“Of all the so called ‘professional’ career paths: scientists, doctors, lawyers, teachers and journalists, it is the journalist that has the least amount of required knowledge, the least amount of tools and the least amount of respect............”

A ‘journalist’, USED TO be able to find all the facts, first; to prevent any libel.

THEN came the complete onslaught of the immaculation, annointing, and deifying of this guy named obama.

Now a ‘journalist’ might as well be called a ‘Himmler-ite’, for all the news Fearless Leader wants us to believe.

“somehow overlook the work of its own reporter, Jake Tapper”

I am sure that most CNN staffers think of Jake Tapper in much the same way Fox staffers thought of Glenn Back.

From CNBC, where Burnet knew nothing about economics, she migrated to CNN, where she knows nothing about politics.

There are thousands of communications graduates who will never find a job in that meager field. It’s a puzzlement why we have such a concentration of dolts on the networks.

Jay Carney, being asked about CIA role in Benghazi and intimidation as reported on CNN, reads CIA letter. No followup. Zombie Hour (WH Press Briefing) continues.

Kind of, like, you know, politicians!!!!!

They get elected, then become experts at all sorts of careers, medicine, financial, business. Usually, unless they are lawyers, and most are, they have never, ever worked in a real job, owned a real business or gotten a real paycheck, yet they all know all there is to know about, like, you know, everything!

You're right about that.

Journalists now seem not to know (and don't care that they don't know) about the facts.

They just put on their ‘journalist’ costume, read (stumble through) whatever is shoved under their noses and call themselves ‘reporting’. Most of the time they marble mouth the names of individuals and locations because they are TOO lazy or stupid to trouble about proper pronunciation.... and they are too busy being ‘cool’.

Really?

In what delusional and low IQ universe does THAT pass for academic rigor, research of the FACTS, intellectual integrity, etc?

I refuse to even listen to these clowns and have not for a very long time now.

Even many of the ones that are lawyers have never worked in the private sector. They pass the bar and head straight to politics.

My respect zerosix. That is quite a nick of a reminder. Also tells me of the one six foot under that did the Honorable thing and resigned while the zer0 proves over and over not to be Honorable. Maybe God will whack him harder. Nixon has received his wings.

It’s a puzzlement why we have such a concentration of dolts on the networks.

They may be dolts, but they sure are pretty (even the men), have lovely ear-piercing valley-girl voices (even the girly-men), and can be made into blonds overnight, if research tells Roger Ailes that's the future of news.

She is very pretty and strikes me as being smart too. So I am hoping that she matures into a real reporter. I know, I know but I do think there is hope for her.

I was watching our local news on Monday, ABC 15 in Phoenix, when the girl started breathlessly reporting on Obama’s impending visit to the valley. She was positively giddy, which was annoying enough, but I totally lost it when she quoted the “nonpartisan Organizing for Action....”

I corrected her gaffe on her ABC 15 Facebook page, telling her that she lost credibility as a “professional journalist” (lol) when she showed such bias. She blamed the writer for the erroneous “nonpartisan” statement, but got downright snotty with me about the rest of my comments, claiming I was making assumptions about her politics, etc.

However, simple research turned up the fact that her ethics have been brought into question by her colleagues in the past due to her blatent support of left wing causes, such as hosting pro-PP soirees, etc. Funny thing is, she recently had a baby who is her “miracle baby” (snicker), and the baby daddy still hasn’t proposed, although the station promotes the happy couple, ignoring the fact that the kid is illegitimate. Well, at least she didn’t abort her.

So apparently my assumptions weren’t far off, lol.

Not once did Erin Burnett ask or wonder where Obama was all night long during the Benghazi attack.

Says all you need to know.

It's still all about CBA, and Obama's "missing" 8-10 hours.
