The real problem here is above the pay grade of average liberals and even many of the liberal leadership. The real crux of it comes from those who own the liberals as their lapdogs, and who own the media and some in the GOP too (we know who some of them are like McCain). They hate the Tea Party and attempt to discredit it because it isn’t totally under their thumb.
I agree that media propagandists for crooked pols and government did much damage. It was created and easily initiated when the media was consolidated into a few hands. It means we no longer get objective news that hasn’t been filtered to protect the pols who protect the media.
Perhaps we Americans will wake up and understand that the politics of lib vs con are enhanced so the media interests profit more and protect those who control our government. Divide and conquer is their mission and it has been since the 1965 Immigration Act and the blatant failure to defend our borders.
