SAN DIEGO (AP) - A car belonging to the suspect in the disappearance of a teenage girl in California has been found in Idaho, authorities said on Friday.
San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore also said that horseback riders reported seeing two people matching the description of the suspect and girl in the Cascade area 70 miles northeast of Boise on Wednesday.

Hmmm. Sounds like she ran away.
Her name is Hannah Anderson. She’s a really pretty girl but when you see some of her pictures it’s understandable how an older man could be infatuated with her. She looks like she’s in her mid-twenties.
In any case, I hope she’s found safe AND I hope she didn’t participate in the murders. There’s been too many cases like this where the ‘victim’ ends up being found out as a co-conspirator.
It sure sounds like she is participating without coercion at this point.
The a-hole just killed her mom and her little brother. Sounds like plenty of coercion to me.
Is here 8 year old brother with them or was he one of the deceased?
I read the article and indeed her brother is deceased.
Here’s another story with info from some hikers and it doesn’t look good:
>>>>Authorities were unable to determine from witness accounts if Anderson was being held against her will, Gore said. “As far as we know, it didn’t look like she was being held against her will,” Gore added.<<<<
Both were spotted this morning carrying backpacks and a tent. The area is listed as rugged terrain and difficult to navigate.
The man had purchased camping equipment recently.
New info here:
It sounds like time to bring in the tracking dogs.
re: “>>>>Authorities were unable to determine from witness accounts if Anderson was being held against her will, Gore said. As far as we know, it didnt look like she was being held against her will, Gore added.<<<<”
I think we need to remember to not jump to conclusions until ALL the facts are in. I know we all hope to God she is found safe. We also need to remember that being a kidnap victim and wanting to survive may put people in situations where they may have to do things they would never do under normal circumstances. And these are NOT normal circumstances.
One hell of a coincidence here:
Caril Fugate remains in critical but stable condition after crash
( Thursday, August 8, 2013 11:20 am)
“DiMaggio and Anderson were both wearing backpacks and carrying a tent, according to witnesses, indicating that they were camping in the area, Gore said. Authorities did know that DiMaggio had recently purchased camping equipment in the past couple of weeks, Gore said.”
This was a planned murder.
just because she wasn’t handcuffed doesn’t mean she isn’t helded against her will. If he has a gun, where is she going to run to in the middle of nowhere?
Remember Elizabeth Smart.
True. And this girl is of very small stature (4ft 5in and 85 lbs).
As I was reading the story I was wondering of Carol Fugate was still alive. That is so weird.
It’s faster to wait until night and use a LANTIRN system on an aircraft. Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night
The non-military version can be mounted in a helicopter and likely a drone, and has been used in helicopters for decades. After sundown, people really stick out, even in a tent, because of their IR signature. Even if you hide in a cave, the entrance will likely look warmer. Any fire looks like a volcano.
About the only way to not be seen is to jump in water.
This couple should probably be left alone. They’ve been through so much already.
maybe she doesn't even know about the killing of her mom and her little brother....
I was just in that area on12
I just watched a documentary about it in the last week or so.
I have loved that rugged part of Idaho since I hiked up...most of....trapper peak
But man....I went up thru Missoula and Whitefish too
Good lord the development
I commented on a story I had not even heard about until that tread. My comment came from gross ignorance of a case that is not relevant to my life and I should have not commented.
Sorry about that.
