The Republicans can count me out

I have been a lifelong republican and am even serving as a member of our city council as a Republican.

The republican turncoats who are pushing forward with 'immigration reform' have pushed me and many others over the edge.

There’s a long list of issues that they’ve been impotent on, but 'immigration reform' issue is one in which many congressional members have crossed over and are deliberately hastening the demise of our country, on the off-chance that some Hispanics may help republicans win an election cycle 10 yrs down the road.

Republicans can count me out.  Hopefully, they count a lot of us out.   

 

The republican congress no longer actually represents us … they don’t act on our behalf  or the best interests of our country.   

 

Their investigations are only for show.   Impeachable offenses have been committed and yet NO ONE gets fired or goes to jail ….  the republicans only want to make the news cycle and have a wedge issue for the next election.  

 

Take a gander at the list of abuses (below) that have been committed by this administration and then think about the inept and ineffective republican response, if any, to each abuse.    

 

The list (from my memory, so probably incomplete):

• IRS targeting of conservative groups (election fraud and abuse of power) is going nowhere
• Benghazi investigation (dereliction of duty and who gave the order to stand down) is going nowhere
• Fast and Furious (illegal gun running operation) is going nowhere
• Supplying  Libyan rebels w/ heavy weapons / light arms is going nowhere 
• NSA abuse investigation is going nowhere
• Illegally awarding the contract to list/sell over $6 billion dollars worth of post office space to   Nancy Pellosi’s husband’s real estate firm  … that’s a nice little commission.  Not sure if this even being investigated.
• Election fraud in latest federal election (districts with 99.9% vote for Obama,  absentee ballot fraud, rampant double voting, no checking of ids, treatment of military absentee ballots, etc).  Nothing to see here.
• Screwing over the stockholders / white collared pension workers during the government takeover of GM and giving ownership to the unions, who then donated to the democratic party.
• Massive purchases of ammunition by DHS so as to cause shortages  and price gauging
• Not defending our borders and CHOOSING to not enforce immigration laws (dereliction of duty)
• Lack of support of English as the official language (huge cost in document preperation and management)
• Defining the rules of engagement so that our troops can't hardly defend themselves
• Taxpayer funded political lobbying by the HHS
• Support of Muslim outreach by NASA (picture the outcry if a different religion was promoted)
• Lack of support for domestic oil/gas, while giving incentives and funds to Argentina  to increase their production
• Shutting down the gulf for domestic oil production while allowing China/Brazil/Cuba to drill 50 miles off the coast of Cuba
• Continued extension of unemployment benefits, even to illegals
• Lack of oversight of disability programs, availability of funding to illegals
• Lack of oversight of welfare programs , actively SEEKING illegals and encouraging them to apply
• Lack of oversight of EBT card) abuse 
• Massive government investment in now-bankrupt green companies …owned by democratic donors and big-wigs. 
• Contract to award free phones given to Carlos Slim, a huge democratic donor.    Lack of oversight of this program as well.
• Massive leaks of intelligence by administration official
• Lavish vacations and a huge entourage for that fat-a$$ed wife of his
• No defense of the DOMA.
• No investigation of Obama’s student status (foreign??), his multiple social security numbers, his forged live certificate of birth … is Obama even qualified to have signed any of the laws that he signed?
• Allowing appointments of Sotomayer and that carpet munching dutch-boy to the bench and then allowing them to rule on cases that they shouldn’t be sitting in on

 

Screw the administration for screwing us, but also screw the republicans for not having the balls to fight a battle and actually WIN, not just score media points.  This isn’t for show … it’s for our lives and the type of life we want our kids to have.   These issues MATTER and the republican efforts haven’t done jack friggin’ squat.

 

I will no longer vote republican.  I hope they lose every election from here on out … I’m tired of us slowly advancing towards becoming a destitute third world nation of lawlessness.   The republicans are just slowing our country's demise a bit, but they certainly aren’t slowing it down enough and they certainly aren’t stopping it.  

 

I’m thinking that we should all quit our jobs and all sign-up for unemployment, and all get on disability for any minor physical ailment that troubles us, and all get EBT cards, and oh yeah, free phones, and free electricity programs, so that we can just f’in sink this country already and start over.

Have you ever done anything to try to change the policy making structure by replacing your RNC committeemen?

It took less than 1000 votes to put a Michigan tea partier on the RNC but as far as I can see no one else has even bothered to try.

Without going into your longer list in the full comment, the short version about immigration “reform” is sufficient for me.

Life long republican, always yelled at those who won’t vote for a RINO, and this illegal immigration thing has pushed me over the edge.

It makes no sense, is bad for the country, all the blubbering about citizens of other countries as if they have no where else to go, it’s sickening.

I really think a lot of republicans not only don’t care about the issues, they don’t understand the issues.

When the Republicans selected McCain I decided to just stay home or maybe vote for some independent. When he chose Palin, I relented.

I think now I have quit the Republicans for good.
