The GOP needs to start tying Obama and his failed policies to every Dem in the Senate and House that we even have a remote chance of replacing. Show the voters Obama’s failed policies and then show how Senator/Representative X supported those failed policies. Then tell the voters that does not represent [state district] and finally, label them as being out of touch and beholding to Obama. Label them as business as usual in Washington.
Start running the ads in Oct / November. Force the Dems to fight and defend their own record. Set in the mind of the voter that they want to throw the bums out.
Obama has failed as president in nearly every way possible. His approval rating should only include hardcore libs. The fact that it doesn’t shows there is that there are still way too many stupid and ignorant people out there.

I just love polls and their honesty. Yesterday I received a call from someone asking me to take such a political poll. I said, “Sure. Who are you taking the poll for?” The caller HUNG UP FAST.

I got a call about whether my dem governors reversal of an electric rate increase made me more likely or less likely to support his reelection.
When I explained that the price increase had still happened, and even the front page of the liberal paper had said so, they just repeated the question.

“Margin of Error” doesn’t mean the poll is that close to being an accurate representation of what the population believes.

Frankly, I haven't believed a single poll has been accurate regarding 0bama, the questioning, nor, the pollsters.
Polls are part of the same overall charade of a media whose cover and worship of this charlatan more like a WWII rally at Nuremberg.

In the "compare" section of Gallup's site, one can compare the relative numbers at particular points.
What this shows is that George W. Bush, the man whom the Assclown blames for EVERYTHING, was at the same popularity as the Assclown is right now!
Additionally, remember, GEORGE W BUSH was under constant, biased, unrelentless, and unfair media assault...WHILE the Assclown has received never ending worship and PRAISE by same media.
And yet....yet....even GALLUP, which is biased itself, in my opinion, still shows that even with all this worship, BO still is only able to muster 45% approval....
This information needs to be RELAYED to EVERY Republican who thinks Obama MUST be "worked with"....no, instead, he needs to be STOPPED!

He won’t be back up in the polls tomorrow. I’ve been following the RealClearPolitics average & he’s been dropping steadily for several wks now. His current rating is -7.4 [43.6 approve 51 disapprove]. I’ve never seen him anywhere near that low on RCP. Usually a few polls manage to sample enough Dems to keep Obama out of the toilet. Not this time.
I noticed that the real dropoff started post Zimmerman-verdict. Obama had done alright w his previous statement—if I had a son he’d look like Trayvon—so he upped the ante in the post-not guilty time frame. It must have backfired big time. Hispanics may have finally gotten fed up w President-I-only-care-about-blacks & his war on Zimmerman. Whites don’t need a lecture on racism & bigotry when POTUS should have bigger fish to fry [the economy]. Evidently not even blacks were impressed. They wanted action, whereas the Narcissist in Chief just wanted to shift the spotlight to himself. Fail on all fronts.
Anyway, don’t look for a quick rebound of Obama’s #s. They’ve been tanking for wks so far, & show no signs of reversing course.
One more interesting thing from Gallup: you can ALSO see how the approval ratings stack up WITHIN the parties.
An argument CAN be made that Bush (though his approval was at 45%, the same as the Clown, at this point in office) was more popular. Why? Look at the legend.
Among DEMONRATS, right now, the Clown has an 81% approval. Great, right? But Bush had an 88% approval among REPUBLICANS at a similar point.
Bush fared better under the OPPOSITE party, too! Look: the Clown has an 8% approval among Republicans (? who the hell are they?)...while BUSH scored a 12% approval among DEMOCRATS!
Bush did 7 points better among HIS OWN party than the Clown, and 4 points better among those in the OPPOSITE party than the Clown!
slight correction from above: Bush has a 86% approval among Republicans, not 88%. The theory, though, is still valid.
It might be too late to get the love back from progressives and techies after treating Snowden as a traitor. Add to that, they're finding out how much Obamacare is going to cost them.
Never been polled by Gallup or any of the other major Democratic supporters. I guess it’s because I’m registered as an Independent and almost equally distrust both parties. When Republican “pollsters” call, it’s always a prelude to requesting a donation. My usual response is: “For what - pretending to disagree with Democrats than agreeing with them in the end?”

Polls are an indicator of public sentiment but hardly conclusive. I concur with previous posters who noted that even with non-stop media fawning over and promotion of Obama his tepid 45% approval approval rating tells us that without the media life jacket he would sink to the 20% or less he deserves from hard core leftists and the terminally ignorant.
I agree the post-trial comment is certainly related to the overall downtrend. I think the confluence of three major scandals and Obama’s response to them are contributing factors as well.
One other wild card that hasn’t been measured for impact definitely should get a look... That’d be the effect of the repeated attacks on
Obama by late-night show hosts such as Jay Leno, who has begun teeing off on the POS in recent weeks like never before.
