Finally, a prominent nation is taking on the homosexual agenda and rejecting it outright. A number of African nations have done the same, but third-world countries are not newsworthy to mainstream media. Although recently, the President of Senegal (West Africa), Mackey Sall, was reported as rebuffing Barack Obama's haughty insistence that Senegalese embrace homosexuality.
The irony is stunning that a Communist nation would understand that preserving the value of men and women marrying and producing children makes for demographic survival, while many American Christian leaders cower in the shadows, in fear of activist homosexuals and their leftist supporters.
For any but the most rabidly liberal, the decision of Russian lawmakers is about as sensible as it gets. Adults can choose to act in whatever manner the culture in which they live allows. And a rotted culture allows many abominable behaviors. Children, on the other hand, are at the mercy of adults around them. They are mentally, physically, and emotionally unable to protect themselves.
The Russian law calls for protecting children (minors) from the indoctrination of adults who would use them for their own ends. It states that fines will be imposed on any who propagandize non-traditional sexual relations among minors through dissemination of information that encourages such relations. Additionally, acts of encouraging a distorted perception of equivalence between traditional and non-traditional sexual behavior is banned. The anti-God types, of course, are screaming "discrimination" and "anti-gay," their clarion call to gin up support and sympathy, but the Russians are having none of it. Thank God.

My personal experience with Russians (who overrun NYC) is that they are obnoxious, arrogant, miserable people. And the men wear really bad suits - no matter how much money they have. BUT: they dislike homosexuality and have no problem expounding on it.

Russia is not a Communist nation now. Anybody who thinks it is needs to read Richard Pipes' book Russia Under the Bolshevik Regime to see what a true Communist nation is like. In fact, the USA is beginning to show more Bolshevik social and moral characteristics than Russia currently does.

My father, born in 1918(RIP), told me that once while he was in San Francisco while awaiting his ship to take him to Japan for the invasion (he was in Navy UDT and they were expecting 90% casualties) a homosexual approached him and made a proposition. He said that he put him down with one punch and walked on. That my friends is when men were men and women were women and everyone knew the difference.
It is rather surreal. Almost like a quirky reversal of the Cold War. America sides with evil, rushing headlong into moral deviancy and statist tyranny, while Russia stands up for morality and Christianity.

At the time she was one of the best known and best loved entertainers in the country.
When she openly opposed the growing push for acceptance of homosexualism the liberals and homos teamed up and viciously attacked her in every possible way.
Hollywood liberals like Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Paul Williams, Carroll O'Connor, Linda Lavin, and Jane Fonda joined the homos in the attacks.
They destroyed her career, driving her into bankruptcy and just about ruined her life.

I have been married for 59 years to a Swedish lady, Swedes didn’t get along to well with Russians, and I just asked her if your description fits. She says absolutely not. My wife says to tell you I am well educated, handsome, well dressed with good manners and a good father. My wife says you are associating with the wrong kind of Russians. By the way , I have a very strong dislike for homosexuals and their ilk.

It would be great if we could blame it on one thing. Up to a point, Hollywood followed the culture. Once immorality became a virtue, Hollywood just took it up to the next level.

Helped..yes. But, I do not blame it ALL on them. I don’t even blame most of it on them. 60 years ago, Hollywood culture didn’t affect most people like it has for the last 30. People had a moral compass that didn’t point to Hollywood. They saw Liz Taylor getting divorce after divorce and didn’t try to emulate her. Once the no-fault divorce and birth control pill was invented, it was all downhill. When we added the welfare state to that, we went right over the cliff. Even then, Hollywood didn’t drive the decline. It just gave us what we demanded. We wanted to see people that were more messed up than us—and, since we like happy endings, those messed up people prevailed in movies and TV so we tried to be like them. Then, we needed even more messed up people. Etc, etc, etc.
Female voters idolizing gay males and electing one president didn't help. They love it when men switch sides!
We are also experiencing the centralization of political power that goes with it. They could not maintain a republic under that model, and we won't be able to either.
I find it very odd that those women you mentioned are idolizing males who essentially think and believe that the female of the species is unnecessary.

Because Hollywood is so into liberal causes, including homosexuality, I always pray for growth of Sherwood Pictures. Sherwood Pictures is affiliated with a Baptist Church in Georgia, and has made some family friendly/faith friendly films. Their most recent was “Courageous”. I always pray that they will grow. And that there could someday be a more conservative alternative to the Hollywood idiots pushing the liberal agenda.

In our country’s recent history we’ve celebrated diversity in our population as if it were a good thing. However, one look at world history will show you that no country with a diverse population of different races, languages, and religion has long survived.
Countries don’t naturally form with a diverse population, and when in the past they’ve occurred it’s usually been as the result of armed conquest. These unnaturally formed countries have either melded together into a single population made up of one mixed race with one language and one religion or they’ve come apart, and they’ve usually come apart with extreme violence. The longer these diverse populations are forced to coexist with one another without mixing and becoming one, the more the hatred grows among them and the more violently they break apart, but break apart they will, or genocide will settle the issue once and for all.
Why is this and why can’t we all just get along? The truth of the matter is that we (the human race) just aren’t as civilized as we would like to think we are. Genus Homo sapiens isn’t that long “out of the trees” and the veneer of civilization is very thin, to non-existent, upon us all. We’re all carrying the genes that got us here and some of those genes carry a very basic survival instinct that has allowed us to survive thus far.
This most basic of all survival instincts is self preservation and it’s the one that warns us to be very wary of those who are different than us, our family, and our tribe. Those who possessed this survival instinct survived and reproduced, and those who had no fear/distrust of strangers didn’t survive. Over the years, this survival instinct has been referred to as tribalism, nationalism, ethnocentrism, racism, and various other isms, but it’s an inborn instinct carried in our genes whether we like it or not.
This “celebration” of diversity in the American population was introduced in the 1960s and 70s as a deliberate divisive revolutionary tool wielded by Marxists like Bill Ayers and other radicals. It became dogma taught by Marxists in our universities, then spread by our leftist controlled news media and leftist controlled Hollywood. The intent was, and is, to split American culture along race and class lines and set off a “proletarian” revolution to destroy capitalism. The Left has now managed to elect a half-Black radical as President and their revolution is proceeding along very predictable lines, with him using every opportunity to stir up more division and discontent. At the beginning of the 21st Century, the American people are about to learn the savage lesson of Communist Revolution that the Russian people learned at the beginning of the last century. I had/have Russian family roots that go back to NYC and do not approve of any resulting relatives giving you such a bad time. However, from the tone of your words I take you just do not like Russians besides wanting to take them down a notch or two. I don’t know the character of your Russian ‘friends’ but I do know that Russia has produced some very noteworthy artists, scientists and authors. I myself have had a very excellent education at one of top world universities. With all this said I wouldn’t trade one bit of what the USA has afforded my family for a life in Russia.

Sadly, we're embracing all their destructive policies, and 0bozo is putting those policies , especially the homo agenda on steroids.
Shery’s daughter - I have also met some quite rude Russians. I had a really bad experience with one two years ago. He was a young man and a total jerk. And 7 years ago, in my home town, a Russian guy asked me how much I charge - like I was a prostitute!! And I wasn’t dressed in ANY way like a prostitute - I was wearing sweats and was working out. I wanted to punch his lights out among other things. But that being said, I have also had some very good experiences with Russians. I’ve known some Russian women who seemed a little stand-offish at first, but once I got to know them and they got to know me, we really got along well. And I’ve met some Russians who feel they’ve had very bad experiences with Americans for the exact same reasons: rudeness, obnoxious, think they are so much smarter, etc. I’ve experienced that from people from several countries, actually - both here in the U.S. and when I lived overseas. I think some of it might stem from old feelings about what used to be the attitude between Russia and the U.S. People probably still feel a little uncomfortable and a little unsure how to break the ice. But also, I think it’s just cultural. Some cultures have behaviours that might seem rude at first until you get to know them. Others, it’s just part of their culture to portray “manliness” and exaggerate some of those characteristics.
