President Obama took his case for ending the sequester to hundreds of disabled veterans Saturday, saying he protected their benefits from the “reckless” cuts to the federal budget but suggesting next year might be different.
“It’s hurting our military. I made it clear that your veteran’s benefits are exempt from this year’s sequester,” the president said to the applause of hundreds at the Disabled American Veterans' convention in Orlando, Fla. “But I want to tell you going forward the best way to protect the VA care you have earned is to get rid of this sequester altogether.”
The president but the blame squarely on Congress, which returns in about four weeks to work on a new federal budget and increasing the federal debt limit.
“We’ve got these reckless, across-the-board budget cuts called the sequester that are hitting a lot of folks hard,” Obama said. “Congress needs to come together and agree on a responsible plan that reduces our deficit and keeps our promises to our veterans and keeps our promises to future generations.”
The cuts went into effect in March after Congress and the White House failed to agree on a more balanced plan to cut government spending.
Some Republicans have meanwhile said the president shares in the responsibility, considering he signed the 2011 Budget Control Act that raised the debt ceiling and led to sequester.

Obama is threatening to yank benefits to disabled veterans who have served and in many cases bled for this nation.
In same speech he promised "tax credits" and "incentives" to hire veterans, but by his and Hagel's own policy, 45% of the DoD civilians furloughed who had their pay checks stolen from them are veterans themselves.
It gets even worse.
He and Hagel are out there threatening massive layoffs to DoD, and also one of the most cynical proposals in history:

Obama and Hagel say the Pentagon is being destroyed by the Sequester, and they are correct. It is 17% of the Federal budget, but it takes 50% of all the cuts.
But then look what these two are doing for homosexuals and their sexual perversion partners:

So, let me get this straight:
1. Take money from Disabled Veterans
2. Take Federal pensions away from military veterans who work start second careers after giving their youth and blood for the DoD
3. Give Billions away to flagrant sexual sinners who flaunt their perversions before God and man.
The Republicans are no heroes in this either. They voted to allow the Sequester to devastate the military, while exempting Food Stamps, TANF welfare, and scores of other unearned giveaway programs from any Sequester cuts. They have done nothing or said nothing about the assaults on military veterans. They are allowing the Pentagon to go on with plans to reward sexual sin.
Our country is going to be judged by God, and it will not be pretty.

A terrorist uses fear of violence to achieve an end he prefers. He does not freely debate nor does he debate at all. He threatens.

Within minutes of the SCOTUS decision on homosexuality (one of the greatest tragedies in our nation's history), Hagel called from his aircraft over the skies of Afghanistan to "congratulate" the homosexual community.
Yet, within a few days after that, he promised the furloughs of DoD civilians would continue next year along with massive layoffs, and then testified to Congress that he would yank the pensions of military retirees who are employed by DoD.
Obama and Hagel are despicable people. Where is the outrage? They should both be publicly shamed for this.
Still plenty of money for free health care for illegals, billions for terrorists in Palestine, Syria and Egypt and still more than enough to exempt congress and the administration from obamacare...
Or the $7 Billion he promised to give away to dictators to reduce power blackouts in Sub-Sahara Africa.
The voters decided that one term for this punk wasn’t enough.
Take from disabled veterans but not from food stamps, welfare, crazy checks, Obama phones, and the like!
This will not sit well with most Americans.
And Food Stamps for one in five American households, ObamaPhones, Section 8 Housing, etc etc, but Disabled Veterans are going to get screwed.
Vets, if he takes one dime from you, you should march on the white house with weapons drawn and haul that bastard to justice.

It is so frustrating. I heard the final house and senate bills proposed only have one difference. 4 billion!!! the sticking point is that house wants a 2 percent raise for military. The senate wants a 1 percent raise. It is insane to stop the first budget in obama’s administration to be signed over this. A 1.5 percent raise never crossed both chambers minds??? Unbelievable!
And he will decide that two wasn’t enough. He’s dirty enough to do it and the Americans are weak enough to let him get away with it.

Half of the rhetoric you hear from the House and Senate GOP sounds exactly as anti-military as the Democrats.
GOP members of Congress have allowed the military to be slashed by $330 Billion in 2009, $487 Billion in 2011, and $650 Billion in 2013 with the Sequester. Those were all supposed to be over ten years, but the cuts were real and have now overlapped each other.
I have never been so disgusted with this nation.

If there are, I have heard nothing from any of them regarding homosexual "spouses" getting thousands of dollars in monthly benefits while Hagel's proposes laying off veterans and stealing their pensions.
Congress is on yet another vacation as well. But if they had any sense at all, they would be all over the Sunday talk shows to denounce Obama's latest criminal threat to disabled veterans.

The main point is to remember that President Obama is the one who suggested the sequester. Now, he’s acting like he had nothing to do with it. The GOP has offered many ways to get out of this dissastrous plan as long as the principle of spending cuts is maintained. This is a non-starter for President Obama, so Obama’s sequester cuts will remain in effect. That’s how it works, Mr. President.
President Obama (president for close to 5 years now) is once agan acting like he has no part in what happens in the federal government. He sets the tone, the discussion, and most of the time the laws. Still, he acts like he’s on the outside. He is the problem!!!!
