Sarah Palin blasts Chris Christie as a ‘big government’ Republican (Says she's on "Team Rand")
Washington Examiner ^ | 08/11/2013 | CHARLIE SPIERING

Posted on 08/11/2013 8:05:55 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

On Fox News Saturday morning, former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, explained to host Eric Bolling that she would choose Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. over Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J.

“I am on Team Rand,” Palin said. “Rand Paul understands, he gets the whole notion of ‘don’t tread on me’ government, whereas Chris Christie is for big government, you know, and trying to go along and get along in so many respects.”

Palin said that Christie was mistakenly thought of as a governor that “goes rogue” but suggested that the New Jersey governor had created “a shtick” by setting up controversial moments and using a “YouTube videographer.”

“No. Chris Christie is for more government and his record proves that,” Palin repeated. “Whereas Rand Paul – with that healthy libertarian streak that we need more of in our politicians – team Rand Paul!”

Pretty much the same as McCain here in Az.

Palin is right on the mark. Christie is a wolf in sheep's clothing, a RINO, a Democrat masquerading as a Republican. We saw that in him when he quickly began performing fellatio upon Obama when Obama visited NJ after Hurricane Sandy.

I just wish she’d point that out about McCain.

to Sarah Palin.

You are the only one who has a chance of wining against the communists/democrats in the presidential race of 2016

The media has painted the GOP as being racist , and woman hating group of white men. this is why the media attacked you Sarah and Hermain cain and other conservative minority republicans. you sarah would destroy the media lie that Republicans are racists. Blacks vote 93% for democrats. other minorities Asians, hispanics, etc also have close to 75% for democrats. they actually do believe the media lies that Republicans are racist. and the GOP has run only white males for President. there is no way the GOP can run another white male again. it must run a woman ( you sarah Palin) or a minority or both .

the media is using racial marxism and that's why democrats have imported 60 million non whites from the 3rd world with the 1965 immigration act.

this is kinda simplifying the situation but I have no time as I have to work to give 50% of my income to the government so the gov can fund global warming studies when the world is getting colder( see solar cycle 24 and solar cycle 25)

If that is an endorsement intended for 2016, that could clear the way for an effective conservative challenge to the GOPelite candidate.

Safe bets on the GOPe candidate are (1) Jeb Bush, unless they finally get the message that the Bush name is still toxic, (2) Rubio, who is easy (we saw how the Gang of 8 used him as their tool) and inexperienced and too young for the Grand OLD Party, (3) Christie, because he showed such bipartisanship when he hugged Obama. Each of the three will run on a sort-of conservative platform, of course.

If the conservatives don’t coalesce early, they will get another primary season with most of the 2012 retreads and a few new 2016 dreads.

Sarah shoots straight! Christie is a bully and an opportunist. He will side with whomever he can scam at the moment.

Are there no real conservative politicians from Maryland north? It sure doesn’t seen to be. The psychology of moving westward to new frontiers left the semi-European libs in the NE, trapped Freepers excepted, of course.

I found it more interesing who Palin was “for” than whom she was against. Against Christie is a “gimme”, hardly newsbreaking, we’re all against Christie.

This Paul thing is interesting to me because his themes are broader than anyone elses, so far, gives more to chew on and grouse about. Rand doesn’t seem to care whether we agree with every jot and tittle his philosophy or not, he is putting it all out there.

I think Palin respects his early courage. The rest of them will eventually have to cough up their broader themes in time, but Rand’s opinions on endless warfare and some social issues are attractive to the doves among the electorate already, making his run-to-the-middle visible from the beginning.

I like that too. ( Cruz is presenly my favorite, though.)

Don’t count out the Tea Party silent supporters. There are a multitude of us who witnessed how local Tea Party’s control was absconded by the wildeyed far right screechers and wanted no part of their nuttiness. We just went silent, not away.

Most Tea Party Silent Supporters will coalesce with a true an electable conservative, like Rand or Ted or Sarah, count on it.

It’s not an endorsement! Even Ted Cruz said that he’s with Rand on this as far as a Rand vs Christie debate which is what Sarah was asked about.

Rand/Palin/Cruz/Nugent/Gowdy/West.

Pick two. Any two. In any order.

Give me someone to vote FOR for the first time since Reagan.

King voted against the Amash amendment. Might as well be Michelle Bachman at this point.

That vote could be a litmus test in 2016. A no vote puts you on Team Rove essentially.
