Obama: Republicans Hate You
Townhall.com ^ | August 11, 2013 | Michael Schaus

Posted on 08/11/2013 8:10:27 AM PDT by Kaslin

Republicans relish the idea of impoverished people across the nation dying slow agonizing deaths without access to healthcare. At least, that’s what our President believes. Holding a press conference right before his luxurious vacation in Martha’s Vineyard (which I hear is fantastic this time of year) the President said that “the one unifying principle the Republican Party has, is making sure that 30 million people don’t have health-care.” The comment was absurd, disingenuous, and indicative of Liberal’s inability to defend their ideas.

The comment was made in regards to three conservative Republicans who are leading an effort to essentially defund the Affordable Care Act. Republican Sens. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Marco Rubio are calling on the GOP to vote down any continuing resolution (those bills we use to fund the Federal Government when Harry Reid refuses to pass a budget) that includes funding for Obamacare. Oh. . . And it turns out that far from being “unifying”, the move is creating deep rifts within the GOP.

Internal GOP Politics aside, the idea has generated an impressive amount of angst among top Democrats. But at heart is the President’s ridiculous assertion that the GOP, represented by these three anti-establishment members, is motivated by apparent callousness and sadism.

The left routinely employs over-the-top rhetoric to discredit the messengers rather than the message. To assert that an entire political party is motivated by the desire to see American citizens without health insurance should be beneath any President. Animosity toward the Affordable Care Act resides mostly in the legislation’s uncanny ability to reduce job growth, add to the Federal Budget, increase taxes, and hike premiums.

But, according to the President, opponents of the Legislation simply hate poor people. Our national community organizer, Barack Obama, is not the only person who believes this. In fact, it is a foundational principle of Liberalism: Opponents are not merely wrong in their thinking, or misguided in their efforts, but intrinsically opposed to wide spread prosperity and betterment of the human condition.

The President’s petty remarks about a handful of GOP senators is not aimed at encouraging reconciliation or bipartisanship. It is aimed at portraying his political opposition as cruel and uncaring. An odd characterization as he heads to vacation while his constituency continues to struggle in unemployment and an ailing economy. What is so curious about the President’s moral arrogance, is the fact that little good has ever come from Progressive ideas. In fact, human suffering, a deterioration of the human condition, and ultimate devolution of individual liberty are all consequences of “progressive” concepts. . (Click here to read their atrocious record on civil rights, as an example.)

Mr. President, your signature piece of legislation has forced millions from their full time job. It has forced millions more into increased premiums, ironically making coverage less affordable. Your reform has increased dependence on the government, diminished individual liberty, reduced private control of health care decisions, and introduced cold (uncaring) bureaucracy into the most intimate portion of American’s lives. (And I’m not even mentioning the HHS’s attempts to force religious organizations and individuals to act against their conscience.)

Shame on you Mr. President. Under your watch, more Americans are experiencing hardship than any time in the past decade. If compassion is the litmus test for reasonable political action, Cruz, Rubio and Lee should be applauded, as they are fighting for an increase in the only condition that has ever lead to widespread prosperity: Liberty.

Besides, Obamacare is still expected to leave 20 some-odd million Americans uninsured. But that’s okay, because the IRS will simply tax those people. Now that’s compassion.

This was clearly the “take away” sound bite from that presser. I’ve seen it over and over in the past few days. But, it passes without any comment; as though he had said the most mundane thing, rather than a remark that is at best hyperbolic and at worst scurrilous.

Just like Reid slandering Romney (his co-religionist, so much for Mormon nice, maybe that doesn’t exist) by saying he “didn’t pay his taxes”. (I’m quoting from memory.) I’m quite sure Mitt Romney has paid millions in dollars in taxes and one thing he’s never been accused of is dishonesty, but, it didn’t matter. I didn’t hear one MSM talking head say: hey, that’s a pretty disgraceful thing to say about Romney. Of course not, they’re the same group that ran a multi-thousand word expose of some high school nonsense on the front page of the Washington Post.

Meanwhile Republicans make innocuous errors, or use infelicitous phrases, and the media makes a 5 day, 4 year, or lifetime circus out of it.

I’m not a big Romney fan, he is only the most recent example of this type of abuse. He seems to be a decent, hardworking, well-intentioned person. Can we blame any other such a one from refusing to enter politics?

We can have all the arguments we like about Rinos vs. Staunch Conservatives or whether or not Marco Rubio is dead (to me, he is); but we will NEVER win as long as the MSM is in the other team’s corner and the vast majority of people (who’d rather kill themselves before reading FR or any of our counterparts here or on the left) get the majority of their info from them. And yes, that includes the entertainment divisions, remember Murphy Brown and Dan Quayle.

No!!! That is not what the President believes.

That is more of the pure unadulterated BS that Obama keeps feeding the idiots that voted for him.
Those poor fools will not know what hit them when Obamacare gets rolling.

When Doctors refuse to work for the pay that Government allows, them, When thousands of Hospitals close down.
When they get hit by the Death panels, all the while with Obama hiring the semi-literate to run the program.

As far as the demon Hillary being anointed next ruler well she shouldn’t count her demons before they hatch.

Keep in mind---O is a practiced, seasoned conman---straight out of criminal Chicago politics. He never met an honest person in his entire life. To these Chi/lowlifes, getting into politics is seen as an "investment"---once in they spend all their time getting a "return on investment."

Right now, O is playing the 2014 Mid-term Game---everything he says and does is intended to hang on to Dem power----they are paranoid about losing the Senate and Repubs hanging onto the House.

===================================================

Rush brought up a significant point on Greta Sunday night. "2010 midterms was one of the biggest shellackings the Democrat Party had had in a long time. Republicans took back the House....Democrats lost a total, nationwide, all the way down the ballot of over 600 seats, and it was because of Obamacare and the rising debt......and the Tea Party showing up...."

=================================================

MY CONCLUSIONS In Obama, we're up against a seasoned, practiced conman. I gather some of the Repubs are onto him---could explain slow-walking Imig/reform, and so on.

Obama and the Dems are really desperate---they hafta win back the House in 2014 and keep the Senate. They cannot risk another 2010---as the scandals against Obama mount.

So cool con artist Obama poses as the "Good Guy"----trying not to "overreach"---separated from the "phony" scandals---appearing as a genial, cool, love-America guy on Leno----to save 2014, to protect the American people from those "evil Repubs."

A lot of the political kabuki theatre we are seeing is O and the Dems baiting the Pubbies to overreach.

Obama is resorting to more and more desperation measures.

What Obama thinks is meaningless he has one goal and it’s socialism and government control over every thing that the public uses and needs.

As FReeper Pollster1 posted: "The deficit is still skyrocketing. Putin laughs at America. Values are crumbling. ObamaCare is still scheduled to destroy the world’s best medical system. I’d say Obama’s agenda is on track."

Isn't it odd that Dems can't seem to grab onto a message that resonates with the public these days....even w/ all that "magic" in the WH?

Mmmmmmm.....sure would like to see Dem's internal polls. As we get closer to the crucial midterms.....and as Obama's approval ratings sink---he's down to 41%....more and more Dems are scared to death.

FReeper whatsup insightfully posted: Dems thought they would be WAAAAY ahead in polls by now, due to their beating img/reform to death. (Cackle) the longer these issues twist in the wind the more America sides with the GOP ... does not bode well for Dems chances in 2014 midterms.

They can't get no traction nohow.

Exactly. It is what he says, but not necessarily what he believes.

“Republicans relish the idea of impoverished people across the nation dying slow agonizing deaths without access to healthcare. At least, that’s what our President believes. “

Yeah, like Terri Schiavo. Oh, but wait; it was democrats who wanted to dehydrate her to death.

The president and all prominent democrats make outlandish and inflamatory statements and then claim to be offended because of Republicans being uncivil or questioning their patriotism.

Well I do not question it. I know they have no patriotism or honor or civility. They are murderers, rapists, thieves and habitual liars. They are not merely traitors of this nation but also of humanity.

And whatever they accuse conservatives of is simply trying to deflect attention from what they know their own motives are. They delight in atrocity and injustices while they spread their filth around the globe.

Typical. The GOP is a lot of things, conservative isn't one.

I belong to one of the larger Republican Party executive committees in the nation - and I've yet to meet a member who was not a true-blue conservative. (I came in as a Tea Party "infiltrator"). I've seen power brokers within the party give up their positions to support candidates like Herman Cain, who was certainly a conservative.

It is the folks at the very top of the GOP who are motivated by things other than conservativism, and with good participation those folks can be flushed down the toilet.

Faced with a party that tirelessly screams for the killing of ever-more-millions of babies, Republicans have been unable to seize the moral high ground. That’s how pathetic they are.

“There are good people on both sides of this issue (the killing of babies).” That’s the standard Republican line.
