Ames, Iowa Ted Cruz argued today that it was vital that Obamacare be defunded.
A lot of politciians in Washington in both parties are telling the American people it cant be done, Cruz said in a speech at The Family Leader Summit. Why? Because Barack Obama will always stand for his principles, so America, apparently conservatives have to give up on ours.
Our friends in the media happily repeat that much, he added. They say this is a fools errand, youre tilting at windmills. Let me tell you, if we can hold 41 Republicans in the U.S. senate or 218 Republicans in the U.S. House, we can defund Obamacare.
He took another crack at his Senate colleagues after receiving a long, standing ovation for his declaration that there is no more important regulatory reform we can do that to repeal every single word of Obamacare.
If I were sitting in the Senate cloakroom, the reaction to that statement would be fundamentally different, Cruz quipped. I dont know that Im quick enough to dodge all the things that would be thrown at me.

FUBO!
Who is that young firebrand?
“Why it’s Ted Cruz Sir”
I can hardly wait to see Greg Abbott dismantle Wendy Davis.
I wonder how long it's been since Cruz's senior Senator John Cornyn has received a "long, standing ovation" for his own position on anything.
Strike the jugular Ted!
What FOOL watches congress exempt themselves from this GREAT program and does not pause to think?
We should be outraged! Outraged!
Target all the insiders Ted! Paint them and trot them into the public square!
Cruz rocks
Everyone knows Obamacare is a poison turd floating in the soup bowl, but many of them know that’s all it was ever supposed to be, a one way trip to single payer, and the complete destruction of the private infrastructure. Naïve Republicans who don’t see the inevitable, or think Humpty Dumpty can be put back together once it is destroyed need to be ridiculed out of office.
Point to note he’s in Iowa saying this...Presidential...
Of course the media will NEVER say a republican said presidential.
Go get ‘em, Ted. You got tons of support out here.
