Sarah Palin: ‘I’m on team Rand Paul’
The Washington Times ^ | 8/11/2013 | Jessica Chasmar

Sarah Palin has chosen sides in the ongoing feud between the Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

“I’m on team Rand,” she said on Fox News Saturday. “Rand Paul understands. He gets the whole notion of don't-tread-on-me government. Whereas Chris Christie is for big government and trying to go-along-to-get-along in so many respects.”

Okey-dokey then. Does this mean Mrs. Palin has jumped on the amnesty bandwagon?

That’s good to know. On that matter, let’s just say that Rand needs to join Team Sarah.

Based on the article that I read earlier, it is an issue based support, not a blanket endorsement- the issue being privacy rights of innocent Americans.

I’ve never been able to figue out why Palin supported Obama guard dog McCain, so Palin has little credibility with me. So once again I anticipate voting “conservative” in 2016 on the basis of the least worst candidate.

Talk show host Mark Davis says the only Republican ticket that could beat Hillary Clinton is Ted Cruz and Chris Christie, though he doesn’t know who should be on the top of the ticket.

It's weird seeing Republican and Chris Christie in the same sentence.

I couldn't agree more! FReepers swoon over Palin like teenage girls at a Justin Bieber concert all the while professing their endearing hatred for McCain. The same McCain Palin campaigned for and still to this day refuses to denounce. She dare not call out the GOP's amnesty cheerleader but she'll chastise any Lib who shares McCains views. That's why I believe, as do many of my fellow Arizonans who supported JD that Sarah is a fraud. Obama didn't fly cross country to campaign against a Tea Party candidate in support of John McCain--Sarah did!

Forced to choose just between those 2 I choose Paul as well, no contest. And I’m not a fan of the Paul family.

Christie is lower than pond scum.

He has a point. Then you add Palin as advisor or campaigns for them or fundraises or she joins the team in some way to get a cabinet position when they win. Cruz as president and Cristie as VP. Cristie will do as said. Otherwise Cruz can go Nixon on him and dump him for someone else like say Palin.

You are absolutely right, of course, though FReepers are trying hard to portray it as a 2016 presidential endorsement [which, at this point, wouldn't bother me].

I’ve never been able to figure out why Palin supported Obama guard dog McCain.

Thinking back to that time, you have to recall that things were not as clear then as they now are. Sarah got a quick education in dirty politics. I think her support of the old dog in 2010 was her sense of loyalty for his choosing her as his running mate. That was her last payback I think. She is wiser now for sure. She also does not appear well to me. Her "spark" is missing. Could be the midlife thing. It's a b..ch for any woman.

I’m on team Palin because she doesn’t beat around the bush about what she believes. Almost every other politician in America (and perhaps Rand Paul, too) would have spoken about how “nice” each of the two, Paul and Christie, are. We would have heard how both are part of the “strength” of the Republican Party.

Palin spelled it out. One is big government with a videographer, and the other has a libertarian streak that supports small government.

Who else would have said that?

I’m on Team Palin.

Dark days of 2010 for sure but she could make it better by helping taking out Grahamnesty in his primary.

Fat boy sent Rand Paul away wimpering ;"We should have a beer together' was crying uncle. Is this how he would fight Hillary in 2016?

Palin owed/owes McCain even now.

He picked her for his Vice President in 2008. Back when nobody in the lower 48, had any idea of who she was.

I think Palin has now paid back McCain. I don’t know what Palin’s feelings are about McCain now.

But McCain is a special case. McCain discovered Palin. I don’t like that he (rather than someone else) did, but give the guy that credit.

McCain is not a fair subject with Palin. The voters of Arizona need to deal with McCain.

Palin will likely, remain loyal to him.

Sorry to say, but that’s a fact.
