Ex-gay gospel singer who says God delivered him from being gay was removed from a concert lineup at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial after a request from Washington's mayor.
The Washington Post reports singer Donnie McClurkin was scheduled to perform at the concert Saturday evening to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Several gay rights activities objected to his participation ahead of the event.
Doxie McCoy, a spokeswoman for Mayor Vincent Gray, says the Grammy-winning singer decided not perform because the purpose of the event was to bring people together.

I really like him. I hope that this makes him stronger. Every day we are given a choice between two paths. This time it is heterosexuality and homosexuality. One leads to peace, the other to death.
If these “church” organisations don’t understand then they are just false teachers. So this homo movement is good. It will help people see the truth.

Here is an almighty God, that the bible says is love, trying his utmost to bless a stubborn world that is refusing to be blessed.
That stubborn world deals in shadows. God however is dealing in light.
And God has made the terms easy. Just embrace Me in love. I put all your sin on the cross. You will be saved. But I don’t want you to stop there, He says. I want you to love me so much that you turn on the devil with such fervor that he will rue the day he ever tempted you. And I will fill you with My power to do just that, and I will give you joy in doing it! And you will carry My light into the darkness and you will see wonders beyond belief.
Actually... turning on the works of the devil... the devil’s already damned, it’s not like we can damn the devil more... but we can make him gnash his teeth as we not only render his work in vain but gain an additional reward as we do so... God has made this battle SO worth the while.

What’s as disgusting is the “good, moral” folks who deny the gospel power. Oh, we’ll save a thief, or a murderer even, but not a homo!
Those folks have GOT their reward here. And I have a particular Freeper in mind too, actually. Moniker beginning with Y and ending with t, and I almost wonder if this is a liberal troll, but sadly such spiritual cases DO occur. They too can be saved and forgiven, but oh God will not brook their bucking of the gospel. God will not brook any barrier to His blessing.
Because, His blessing isn’t earned by us. It’s a goal He presses because He desires more glory, not less. Damnation for the images He has made of Himself is something like plan Z on His list. Plans A-Y are to save. If the success rate is empirically seen to be small, it’s not God to blame, it’s us.
Those who demand we be tolerant and not be judgmental, have judged and they will not tolerate those who judge homosexuality is wrong.
And yet we cannot be so preoccupied with its wrongness that we forget the superior power of God’s righteousness coupled with God’s stubborn insistence on blessing what had been cursed through our willing love. “God is love.” God means it. This is one stubbornly serious love.
And, Songwriter... get your mind full of THAT love... and you will write paeans that you won’t even believe yourself.
I mean, you WILL believe... but you’ll be astonished at the strength, and at how God will bless it. Because you will be a carrier of the light that God is jealous for.

Have you realized you need Jesus as your savior from sin and accepted Him, embracing Him in love for His forgiveness?
I used to think that Jesus and Christianity in particular were human games in a morality play that we could solve of ourselves. I was wrong. This is metaphysical in scope. There is a supernatural God in which we move, live, and have our being. All power of love comes from God, even perverted loves steal something from God or they wouldn’t go at all. The devil chews holes in God’s grace and so do we, and then when we are saved we are forever forgiven and set on a new learning path set out for us.
I mean, the clarification involves the role of Jesus as savior in our lives, and how God works that through the Holy Spirit. I want to be sure that basis exists... not just for the sake of the discussion but for the sake that I want to embrace you in God’s love too. Let me be God’s arms to hug your soul in Jesus if God’s arms have not yet hugged it.
And oh, all kinds of music will pour out of you once you accept it. The everlasting arms want to hug you, but they will only do so with your permission.

Don’t just flee evil and endure the suffering from doing so (which is a negative project), but run to the goodness and freedom in God.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is how many who leave behind communism, islam, and homosexuality interpret their experience.

Let’s dare to come back to Jesus as a child. Some of us suffer less, some suffer more. I now know that Satan was on my back from my earliest years... because he knew that God was preparing me to believe like wildfire. He wanted to stop it. He got me twisted in knots. Then God cut, cut, cut patiently over decades... and voila, here I am, still a bit hobbled but nowhere like what I had been and I am on fire!
Here’s something I think about some of the more pathetic sinners we know. These are people with spiritual capacities that Satan has leveraged to tie them up grotesquely. Set those capacities free and you will watch glory like you can scarcely believe.
But we got to dare to love the unlovely to participate in God’s audacious rebuild projects like that. We see huge sin. God sees huge possibilities. Think of how Paul raged against the gospel. Then when set free, Paul “raged” (in love, always!) FOR the gospel!
And to those sinners (really I could go on and on but I try to limit myself to 3 answers or so :-) I say... you’re just saved, now you see a big ole hole in your soul and you can’t seem to muster the strength to defeat a flea... GOOD. GOD FILLS SPIRITUAL HOLES! THERE WILL BE A TREASURE IN THERE SOME DAY, KEEP ON A TRUCKIN’, PRAISE GOD TO THE MAXIMUM AND DON’T LET THAT DEVIL STOP YOU AND YOU WILL WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN!
The man will be comforted by family and friends who will support him. I doubt his inner circle will abandon him.
Oh man, God will comfort him... this business of salvation is really a huge in-your-face to Satan. The worse the sinner the better the saint, in many many cases!
Listening to music all the time is just another distraction. The music business has enough of our money and think of all the things that people could do with their money if they did not spend it on music. Too much of the ecomony goes to the wrong people—music industry, entertainment, gambling, fashion.
Homosexuality is like Islam. Apostasy is a punishable crime. It is not yet a capital offense though...
The way out of the jadedness is to do whatever you do to God’s glory... God isn’t snooty about what He elevates into His glory, He will elevate anything except sin and the devil.
Oh, music can be a wondrous worship. Or it can be a waste of time if there’s really something else God wants you working on. But quite often God extends us a range of choice. Holiness does not turn people into robots, it makes them into sheep of a lovingly fed, lovingly guided flock. But not just any sheep — sheep that have the Lion of Judah’s courage.
This is all about keeping the Democrat Party running like the plantation that it is. ALL must profess ALL of the *truths* of the Democrat religion. It has become a religion.
Since the gays joined the *religion* of the Democrat Party ALL Democrats must follow the gay gospel. They must also follow the feminist/abortion gospel, the open borders gospel as well as all the other gospels that make up todays Democrat Party. There can be no free thought in the Democrat religion.
