Clown’s Obama stunt at Missouri State Fair draws rebuke

Missouri State Fair officials and politicians on Sunday condemned the performance of a rodeo clown who donned a mask resembling President Barack Obama during Saturday’s bull riding competition.

A tempest over the incident erupted after the website Show Me Progress reported a Facebook account of it.

As was pointed out to me by one, they are not “Rodeo Clowns”. The proper term is “Bull Fighter”. In this case, I think the bull fighter was doing everyone a favor. There are a lot of horses at a rodeo. When you’re in the stands at a rodeo, all you hear is, “Obama? He’s a horse’s ass!” This bull fighter was just providing the fans with a visual reminder as a counterpoint to what is said in the stands. Bravo to this man, Bravo. The Democrats should give him free health care.

The AP story appeared in this morning's Atlanta paper and immediately drew this comment:

Saw the clip on TV. The announcer should be fired as well as the management. The fair should lose any federal funding .
