President Obama is officially on vacation with his family in Martha's Vineyard but apparently, there just wasn't enough room on 4,000 square feet of Air Force One for their dog Bo. Naturally, the dog was put on a separate flight.
Rooms have to be found for dozens of Secret Service agents, someone has to carry a selection of presidential basketballs, and of course the family dog needs his own state-of-the-art aircraft.According to the Government Accountability Office, it costs $11,000 per hour to fly an Osprey. The Osprey is typically used for military operations, not as a presidential dog taxi.
Arriving in the idyllic coastal retreat of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, Mr Obama left behind him in Washington DC high profile debates over the budget, government surveillance and his health care reforms. Instead, he will spend the next eight days playing golf, going to the beach, and buying books from the Bunch of Grapes bookstore.
In the air he swapped his suit and tie for khakis and a blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves, while Mrs Obama wore a yellow-and-white summer dress.
Bo, the president's Portuguese Water Dog, arrived separately on one of two MV-22 Ospreys, a hybrid aircraft which takes off like a helicopter but flies like a plane.
It was the first time the Ospreys have been taken on holiday by a US president.
I’ve always admired the integrity of the liberals who decry military spending.

He closed off “his” White House due to the cuts forced by sequestration then turns around and spends gratuitously without concern to fly his dog out to his Vacation on an Osprey.
While the country is suffering thru a horrific ecenomic struggle.

Degrading and embarrassing the military at every possible chance. Just like when Hillary! had some uniformed military officers serving hors doeuvres for some DNC party members............
The American people won’t mind. They believe that Obama works “so hard” that he deserves vacations ad nauseum.
This is not the 1st time Bo has traveled alone..

Unreal is that the HOR doesn’t curtail the budget for Obama living expenses.
That was my thought too. You never see any pictures of that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave with the dog, and if you do then you know they are staged for photops

I watched Tosh.0 once where he was goofing at some black guy singing a song in the shower called “Chocolate Rain” to beat the band. He even brought him in for a show and they put together a professionally produced spoof of it.
I am now convinced that this type of weird, egregious, flamboyant excess, is typical of some goofballs of Obama-kind in flaunting it because they can. They, he, know(s) you can’t do squat about it - he’s just laffing it off in the $7.6 million dollar crib he gots for bacation. His people don’t care because they’re getting theirs (ObamaPhones, Section 8, EITC, TANF, SNAP, WICs et al) and because it pisses us off.
I don’t know why that POS doesn’t let him family dog travel with him but he doesn’t .
HOWEVER in thos ONE case only I am betting the osprey was already headed that way with equipment and perhaps more personnel so they just decied to let someone else take care of the dog.
This is a ignorant family who is smart on one level. They know how to cheat the taxpayer.

They took him up there in a V-22 Osprey STOL aircraft. The Marines have to fly in them a lot from what I understand.
I wonder what a Marine that had to ride one into battle thinks of this.
