Postscript, I sure hope that Al Qaeda doesn't get the clever idea that a couple dozen of these missiles swarmed at Air Force One could overwhelm its defenses. Losing the president on his next ME trip would be very bad for the country.

No, no, you are confused. How many million dollars does an Air Force One cost? That would be the big loss. We would save billions upon billions if the president was lost. Of course I understand your sincere feeling of loss should the president be lost. /s/s/s

What amazes me is that HUNDREDS of military types had to be listening in to the distress calls from Benghazi. They KNOW approximately what happened, and they’ve all been shut up. Wow.

It's only a matter of time before somebody's sense of self-preservation kicks in.

Possibly, they were diverted from Egypt to the Benghazi region by the Morsi B’hood and whoever was helping / advising them.

Why? To help the fanatic militias keep control of Benghazi from the fragile new central gov’t.

John Brennan, director of the CIA:

They say he converted to Islam while he was CIA Chief of Station in Riyadh.

Oh! Almost forgot...!

He was an exec at the DC company responsible for stealing GayMuzzie's passport data from the State Department, with the culprit later SHOT IN THE HEAD in his car in front of his freaking church.

Meh..! Could happen to anyone, right? I mean, I'm sure that's completely coincidental, right?

And since that happened right before Obama appointed him to HEAD OF THE FREAKING CIA, I guess ole GayMuzzie just LOST HIS MIND, and up and APPOINTED HIM, right?

I mean, I'm sure that a career CIA operative wouldn't know a thing or two about control and leverage, and even if he did finally learn such things, then he would NEVAR apply those lessons to his own professional life, right?

Perish the thought..! I mean THAT would be nasty..!!

They say that in addition to the ole' LIBYAN MISSILE SMUGGLING thang he was rocking down there that Johnny gradually DID NOT LIKE some of the nightshirted gentlemen running around the dunes down there. And that there was some mission creep and that he, uh...

STARTED PINK MISTING a good number of 'em. And their buddies DID NOT LIKE THAT.

SO WHAT THEN HAPPENED, HMMM...?

The WH and Brennan were smuggling Libyan MANPADS and micro-managing the program in a way that involved frequent killing of baddies who didn't exactly see things the same way as we did, sometimes. And even the people who got them were (and are) very, very bad people.

WHO WILL WANT TO BOARD AN AIRLINER...?

Aren’t the two situations...TOO similar..? Almost seems so, no?

2K rifles @ $1K a pop....seems like chump change for them to have done F&F for money...that seems like an enormous risk and exposure (to 1 or 2 or 3 out of 100 possibly blabbing gun dealers) $200K or even $400K, this is a low grade fundraiser...

Now 400 MANPADS..even 200....still, I have to be a tad skeptical this was for money....but we have seen the greedy do execrable things that were far beyond stupid in hindsight.

That was not a manpad. It was a hellfire and you cannot shoot it from a handheld rail due to the hellfire coming out the back. The article does not mention what kind of missiles these 400 were. Are they manpad or hellfire ?

Hillary said "What does it matter?". In other news, California politicians are seeking a new law banning buying lower receiver blanks for "assault" rifles, to stop people from building their own kits.

Maybe we need a law banning importation of stolen missiles from the M.E. Damn politicians have their heads up their a$$es.

Everything is out of whack.

Impeachment starts in the House.

Since the missiles were for an insurgency, it is almost a certainty that the 400 missiles in question were MANPADS, and not Hellfire or a similar AGM analogue.

Something not mentioned —the 400 mentioned were probably only the ones at the Annex at *that particular time*.

Since this op had been going on for months involving a pretty high headcount I’d say very many other missiles had already transited through the Annex, on to their mostly intended end-users.

They’re making great hay of the fact that these 400 fell into the hands end-users unknown, but who is to say these attacking theives are LESS worthy of trust than the end-users of the other missiles that cycled through The Annex previously...?

Attacks and pilfering or not, THIS WAS A VERY HIGH RISK OPERATION.

This loose-canon reasoning fits the, “We are the ones we have been waiting for”-mentality to a “T”.

The fit is perfect.

...they can say they were stolen, but why were they there in the first place?

The Obama regime knows one of those missiles are going to be used real soon. That missile will be used against US or against an ally. That missile will be identified as a US missile and the truth of the Obama regime ignorance and treachery will be known.

It is just a matter of time and that is most likely behind the closure of all those embassies. So far, they have lucked out. Only because the enemy will strike when nobody is expecting it.

Wait for it!

He said the biggest concern right now is finding those missiles before they can be put to use. "They are worried, specifically according to these sources, about an attempt to shoot down an airliner," he claimed.

Maybe the Chicoms can deactive them; they made all the chips in those missiles.

, but why were [the AA missiles] there in [Libya in] the first place?

After Lockerbie, Reagan paid back Khaddafi with a large trans-Med US airstrike (which also hit Bengazi, incidentally). Khaddafi had what was then an unsually deep experience with air threats.

To guard against that recurring, Khaddafi had gone around the world snapping up MANPADS missiles.

Libya was full of MANPADS missiles and for a time after Khadaffi's death those arsenals went almost totally unguarded.

So GayMuzzie and his henchmen correctly saw that as an opportunity.

Maybe the Chicoms can deactive [the stolen MANPADS missiles]; they made all the chips in those missiles.

It's almost certain the PRC cannot. It would surprise me very much. Generally their affordable MANPADS do not contain PALs (permissive action links).

That is also true of gear sourced from former WTO countries.

I don’t know if you’ve got the right “PAL” there.

In the electronics industry, “PAL” is near-synonomous with “PLA” (I don’t know the difference) and PLA is “Programmable Logic Array”.

I would have thought “Permissive Action Links” were generally associated with nuclear devices.

The article is mixed on what type of missile.

The statement by DiGenova is a U.S. made missile. Recently, terrorists in the Sinai have used that Hellfire, which leads one in that direction. If we had given Hellfires to Al Qaeda in Libya to defeat Ghaddafi, that would be a source.

Separtely, the picture that accompanied the article was of an old Soviet Strela 7, many of which were in Ghaddafi’s arsenal.

So, there is still some confusion as to which type of whose missiles we were running to whom which ended up where.

smuggle a couple of these over to the US ...knock a couple of commercial airliners out of the air....go on TV say we have 200 more missiles ...end of commercial air traffic, collapse the US economy ....fun times

And go on TV and state that you got the missiles from the Obama administration which would create political chaos right along with the collapse of the US Economy.

Makes me wonder if this scenario is the reason that DHS is buying billion hollow point bullets and militarizing various federal departments.
