IRSís Lerner Used Personal E-mail to Conduct Official Business, Investigators Say
The Corner ^ | August 13, 2013 | Eliana Johnson

Embattled Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner sent official documents from her government e-mail address to a personal account, according to House Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa and his colleague, Ohio congressman Jim Jordan.

“This raises some serious questions concerning your use of a non-official e-mail account to conduct official business,” the GOP lawmakers wrote in a letter to Lerner demanding all documents from her non-official account for the period between January 2008 and the present. “Additional documents related to the Committee’s investigation may exist in these non-official accounts over which you have some control, and the lack of access to this information prevents the Committee from fully assessing your actions,” they explained. Issa and Jordan are requesting that Lerner produce the documents by August 27.

I hope they continue to pile on. With the prospect of life in prison and forfeiture of all assets, ms. Lerner may just decide to spill the beans.

“Lerner may just decide to spill the beans.”

She (and others of her ilk) won’t spill the beans unless (until?) there’s a federal indictment against her in the works. Let’s hope federal prosecutors and FBI agents aren’t dismissing this all as just a so-called political question with which they are loathe to involve themselves.

I’m sure the NSA has access to her other e-mail account. Let’s just go see what she used it for.

Oh, wait. She is in the ruling class. That’s a privacy issue. Sorry. Never mind.

And what would happen if some co/biz tried to get around e-mail/’net traffic compliance that the Fed requires? Yeah, thought so.

Boy, no wonder we have our (military) secrets stolen left and right....Not an I.T. head in the group to update their firewall to keep those sites off the network. Geez, how easy to bring in a virus/trojan than from an externally accessible e-mail?!

Ha, what else am I expecting from the D.C. crowd?!

Where would an Indictment/Formal Investigation of Lois Lerner (or ANY Democrat) come from? The Holder "Justice" Department, whose sole purpose is to enrich Holder's People, and Get Whitey if he's a Taxpayer?

If you're a Democrat, NO INVESTIGATION OR PROSECUTION is gonna EVER happen....we need to bring back Lynching, and we don't need Big Buck Attorney's and paid-for Judges Ruling on Technicalities and squashing any Evidence that is incriminating.

Bring Open Carry to ALL the States, and we can take care of these people CAUGHT IN THE ACT, saving Taxpayers BILLIONS in wasted non-productive whitewash-Trials.

I know. The rule of law pretty much is gone in this country, and it’s used to protect the thugs in power and target the opposition. It really seems like we are starting to live in a totalitarian regime.

Yeah, it’ll give more time for Lerner’s brakes to give out while she’s speeding down a twisty mountain road, or be found with 3 bullet holes in the back of her head while she has a pistol in one hand & a suicide note in the other!

NEVER happen with Zero and Holder at the ready. As a last resort Zero would just pardon her. After all she was carrying out his orders.

Does anyone remember the media furor when Rove was accused by the libtards of using private email accounts???

Standard operating procedure in the regime.

A common thread in all of the Obama scandals is total stupidity on the part of the perps.

Using your personal e mail to communicate secretly out of the Governments official documentation and archiving system works great as long as you can keep it secret.

Once you get caught, however, it becomes your worst nightmare.

First off, it documents malfeasance on the parts of all parties who are working to circumvent the lawful process of communication.

Second, it is a crime to handle confidential IRS information in such a fashion.

Third, there are no protections or restrictions , such as the ability to assert executive privilege, on Congress's ability to investigate and subpoena personally transmitted confidential IRS information or communications, especially in light of (2) above.

This is a big screw up that is really going to hurt Lerner almost as much as her playing games on asserting the 5th Amendment
