Overpasses to Impeach Obama (soon to be known as "Overpasses for America") is staging "National Patriot Wave II" rallies in all 50 states Aug. 17, protesting the continued scandals, unconstitutional/illegal executive actions, corruption, etc., etc. Visit the website,click on your state's link to find a rally near you. The first National Patriot Wave was held Aug. 6, and rallies were held in over 300 American cities/towns.
They didnt go nearly to this amount of trouble to get Nixon impeached and it took no time at all.
Nixon was NOT impeached. He was threatened. He resigned on his own. He was NEVER impeached.
I saw them on the overpass over Route 3 in Nashua, NH on Saturday and I honked in approval several times!
Saw them on Rt. 30 overpass west of Greensburg PA last Saturday...honked and they shook the banner!

we had a couple of overpasses around here (Johnson City, TN) showing those impeach signs recently. I reckon I may join them this time!

It's not "pointless" to register your disagreement with a treasonous government gone wild. Every person who stands up in defiance will encourage others to do the same.
Efforts like this can blow up into nationwide movements that change the course of history. Remember the Solidarity movement in Poland? That movement freed a nation from the iron grip of Communism. How do you think it got started?

This thing is purely grass roots. There's no national leadership, etc. Folks have taken the idea, and are running with it all across the country. The best social organizing media we have right now is Facebook, unfortunately.
Of course, there's nothing stopping any of us from posting meet-up times, dates, and locations here. I do believe that's one of the chief missions of Free Republic.

What, pray tell, is going on with Ted Poe. Don’t live anywhere near his district but called his office a couple of months ago anyway following his vote and comment on an issue that smacked of Rinoism. His office wouldn’t even listen to my comments. His vote affects all of us in Texas, not just his District. Pure rubbish!

Needless to say, I love the idea of impeaching Obama! LOL! But ... is this the best way to get the message out? Yes, you reach a lot of people. But if you cause a big backup on the highway, are all those people in the traffic jam going to be saying, “Yah, right on, bro!” Or will they be cursing the thoughtless protesters who made them an hour late getting home?
Just throwing this out for discussion. I’m not sure of the answer. But we want the electorate on OUR side, not p!ssed off at us.

Perhaps the non-political every-man who is considering a part-time job to pay his new, INCREASED insurance premiums, electric bill and cost of groceries will contemplate the patriots on the overpasses that are putting the blame where it belongs...and he will THINK outside his own bubble of misery...and he might possibly become motivated and inspired.
For those who are “comfortably-computer-chair-bound” and think this is a waste of time, could you see your way clear to write a couple of Post-It notes with “Impeach Obama” on them and leave them on gas pumps, or store doors, or the outside of mailboxes?
At LEAST, put a sign in your car rear window. Is it too much to ask?

I’ll be at my local one, on US 19 in Spring Hill, FL. It’ll be along the southbound side just south of the Dairy Queen and across from the Palace Grand, not many overpasses in Hernando Cty. :) They’ve been getting overwhelmingly positive reactions from passing motorists.
If they had info on a protest near Pittsburgh I might go.

Already seen one of these overpass protests last week in Amarillo Texas... Honk to impeach Obama was on the banners on I-40 and Avondale / Olsen overpass.... I have train horns on my cummins dodge 4x4 and the good folks manning the overpass protest, if they read this, will remember me....:o)
I emptied the tank.... Hopefully this effort won’t run out of air like my train horn did.....!
