Missouri state fair board!

So in Missouri we have a state fair board that is administering social justice, sensitivity training, not to mention life time bans for freedom of speech: to rodeo clowns!

So I am asking for any and all information on these board members, and how they get their jobs. I know, I should find out myself. But, I support 5 kids and a stay-at-home wife. So if you have a few minutes to help, lets multiply our time and be effective.

Tomorrow, I will talk to local chapters (they are already pissed and active), to get them focused on details.

All of your help counts! ...how 'bout talking up a campaign of letter-writing to the folks in Branson, who must appreciate a good show and the concept of freedom of expression, and if they don't feel particularly outraged about the suppression of opinion represented by this disgusting crackdown, may start making some noise to the politicians if they get enough threats from the rest of the country of people boycotting their town.......

I heard a grassroots organizer recently say that phone calls and emails are fine, but if you really want to get noticed, send them a stamped, signed letter. When they start stacking up on the desk and the letter carrier starts delivering them by the bin, you get your point across a lot faster than through an email box that no one probably even checks.

This is not the right link. The State Fair Foundation is not the same as the State Fair Commission. The Commission is the governing/advising body that ruled on the lifetime ban and issued the apology. The Foundation is bunch of movers and shakers who raise money for the fair.

Either way, all these people are political animals. They’re not going to make waves. They’re going to play nicey nice and put on the right face . . . with the appropriate level of outrage over any controversy . . . if you’re looking for principles and backbones, you’re barking up the wrong tree.

The problem with boycotting is that the message is not clear. Liberals are calling for boycotts, too, you know? Are you boycotting because some clown performed a tired old joke or are you boycotting because the fair board is a bunch of bedwetters? WHo knows?

Actually I was thinking just the opposite when it comes to the Fair - flood the place with lots of people wearing Obama masks - lets see ‘em turn away paying customers because their precious sensibilities are offended by people mocking the dictator.....
