My nephew works for the state of Texas and lives in a border town. Been there several years. His house is in a subdivision of mostly ICE agents. He says half the illegals that come through are running drugs, and the legal Mexicans in the area absolutely HATE the "wets". (That's what literally everybody in the area calls the illegals - - simply "the wets".) He couldn't stress enough how much the legals HATE the illegals.

Believe me, he would know.

Your nephew is spot on and I can vouch for what he says.

The mexican blood American that has worked all his/her life in southern Texas hates the wetbacks coming across the borders and calls them such or calls them mujeros(moo HAIR os).

These people see the drug/smuggling traffic ruining the younger generation. The younger generation start by placing water/food at drop off points for the illegals or drug smugglers. Then the young ones progress to humpers for the guides/smugglers of the illegals to learn the trails. Then they become the smugglers or drivers of the cars at the pickup points.

Ruining the next and future generations.
