A convicted sex offender shot multiple times on Monday succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Wayne Crisp, 58, died at a San Jose hospital at 2 a.m., less than 24 hours after he was flown from Natividad Medical Center where he was first transported from the Higuera Lane shooting scene

A public records search shows, Crisp was convicted of rape by force, forcible sodomy with a person under the age of 14, oral copulation with a minor under the age of 14 by force, and lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.
Whomever it was pulling the trigger should get a medal!

There is a sickeningly high recidivism rate for sex offenders. 1 in 5 that actually serve time for their crimes will re-offend when released (rates vary depending on study with some being as low as 1 in 10).
This is why I had my Wife get her carry permit.
