The U.S. military has roughly 1,000 troops stationed in Jordan.
Once upon a time, we had a mere 1,000 troops stationed in Viet Nam. Our military adventure in Jordan will be totally different, of couse, so there's really no comparison... right?

One fear in Amman and Washington is that Islamic radicals now battling in Syria could at some point turn their sights on Jordan, particularly once the Syrian conflict ends. Hmmmmmmmm, how soon can Obama make this happen?
