Sometimes I wonder if it would not be better to just use computer generated scenes rather than have stuntmen do some of the more outrageous ones.
No matter how dangerous, they will get someone to try it. In the opening credits of “Smallville” they show Clark Kent being struck by a car and knocked off a bridge. Watching some extra stuff on the CD, the producers say the stuntman really was hit in that filming. I mean it is the real thing shown.
You stick your neck out long enough and you will get it chopped off.

It is a shame, but there are some who live for that kind of thing. It’s the way they are.
C’mon, guys, where is your sense of adventure, of expanding the envelope, of daring to go where no man has gone before, of putting your money where your mouth is? All this hen clucking over taking unnecessary risks in life, gimme a break. That’s not what built America, what made her great. If we engineer individuals who shrink from challenges, personal or otherwise, then we engineer in our inevitable winding down to irrelevance.
