It can get visually raunchy sometimes though.

At first it was just a serial that he had posted on a website. Then he added a subscription service for email delivery.

Now, it’s on Facebook too.

If his personal philosophy mirrors the storyline of his characters, he could be a long lost older Brother of mine.

One of the major differences is that although the lives of the characters in the Trudeau strip are invariably comfortable, they are often emotionally miserable. On the other hand, the characters in the Day by Day strip have suffered severe reversals in recent years, even going so far as having been invaded by a SWAT team, arrested imprisoned without trial. In spite of this, they remain optimistic.
Secondly, when the Doonesbury strip features a guest, Trudeau cannot seem to bring himself to do a caricature, often resorting to a disembodied voice emanating from a prop. If he does do caricature, he gets it wrong, for instance, when he drew Joe the plumber as being obese with an unruly mop of blond hair. when Chris Muir introduces someone well known, that person is drawn as realistically as anyone else in the strip.

Shooting the President in effigy?

When did that become funny, or even acceptable?

When an illegal alien won the office due to nearly openly admitted vote fraud and then proceeded to use the power of the office to destroy the country while blatantly aiding and abetting its enemies.

Since it is an effigy, it isn’t like shooting shooting, IYKWIM.

So it's acceptable if you can make up your own version of reality?

I think not.

Ergo, while I know what you mean, it's still unacceptable.

Samantha went full frontal topless last month. She got a bad sunburn but still had skin in the game.

About the time that a movie featuring GWB's assassination got released during his (I believe, second) term. It was great entertainment, don'cha know?

I was unaware that we were now taking our lead, as far as what was acceptable or not, from those we claim to be so adamantly opposed to.

It’s very well done, graphicly speaking. The artist understands page layout and 2d black/grey/white weight balance which unifies a piece. The artist understands human anatomy as seen from a low point of reference.(No, I’m not being inappropriate with that comment.: ) The robins egg blue background hue is inviting, yet threatening and eerie at once due to its vibrancy, due to it’s rebellious joy even with this subject. I studied graphic design and fine arts years ago (Carter Administration). I tell the kids I went to art school in 1974 BC BC meaning Before Computers. Always good to see the simple vehicle of a comic strip getting a new boost.
