Gunbattle fought in Cairo mosque as Egypt mulls Brotherhood ban

(Reuters) - Security forces cleared a Cairo mosque after a gunbattle with followers of the Muslim Brotherhood on Saturday, while Egypt's army-backed government, facing deepening chaos, considered banning the Islamist group.

Three Reuters witnesses saw gunmen shoot from a window of the al-Fath mosque, where supporters of deposed president Mohamed Mursi had taken shelter

Another gunman was shown on television shooting from the mosque's minaret and soldiers outside

It was not clear if anyone died in the clashes - the fourth day of violence in Egypt, which has killed almost 800 people. Troubles were also reported in the second city Alexandria, where an office run by the Muslim Brotherhood was set ablaze.

With anger rising on all sides, Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi proposed disbanding the Brotherhood, raising the stakes in a bloody struggle between the state and Islamists for control of the Arab world's most populous nation.

"We are not facing political divisions, we are facing a war being waged by extremists developing daily into terrorism," presidential political adviser Mostafa Hegazy told reporters.

"We will win this war not only with security procedures, but according to the law and within the framework of human rights."

If Beblawi's proposal to disband the Brotherhood is acted on, it would force the group underground and could herald large-scale arrests against its members placed outside the law.

Many Western allies have denounced the recent wave of killings, including the United States, alarmed by the mayhem in a country which has a strategic peace treaty with Israel and operates the Suez Canal, a major artery of global trade.

However, Saudi Arabia threw its weight behind the army-backed government on Friday, accusing its old foes in the Muslim Brotherhood of trying to destabilize Egypt.

Is Morsi’s sorry hide worth this blood-shed and civil disaster? He should have been disposed of instead of deposed. Chances are our lousy government called the shots on this and were wrong again, of course.

Actually, keeping Morsi alive as “bait” for his followers allows you to more easily identify those that need to be quashed.

Clear the square or abdicate. Either destroy the Brotherhood or live under their yoke.

I wondered how he got through that coup alive. They know it’s best to have him gone. And right now he won’t make much of a martyr after the people approaching starvation

While a start a much better solution would be to ban any flavor of Islam world wide as a dangerous hate cult.

There are so many clans who have hate for each other (and us) built right into their DNA they make the Hatfields and McCoys look like a Flower Power Love fest.

This is a culture that time forgot, or even time wants no part of them, and they cannot possibly live peacefully in the 21st Century.

A world without Islam would be a much better and safer place.

Egyptian Gen Al-Sisi would not take the call Obama made from MV---signaling the General's all-out determination not to let the US admin interfere in his plans to drive the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.

NOTE: Gen Al-Sisi, 58, received a masters degree from the U.S. War College in Carlisle, Pa, in 2006.

After Wed's bloodbath, Gen al-Sisi routed Muslims from the mosque where they had gathered to ID their dead---Al-Sisi then confiscated the Muzzie bodies.

===============================================

The military's vow to rebuild the long list of Christian churches torched by the Muslim Brotherhood will certainly gain the support of the American people....but there is NO WAY Obombo will turn against his pals----Morsi & his Muzzie Brothers. We are saddled w/ hater will never be one of US, he will always be one of Them.

=================================================

MILITARY.COM EXCERPT---US Pentagon officials declined to give specifics on conversations between DOD's Chuck Hagel and Egyptian Gen al-Sisi, but chief Pentagon spokesman George Little said that "US officials at all levels have made it clear that we support the democratic process in Egypt and that we hope that this period of tension can be resolved in a peaceful manner and that violence can be avoided." "We don't support any single party or group," Little said. "We believe that this needs to be resolved through political means."

Although the officials would not discuss the specifics of the military-to- military talks, the U.S. would need Gen al-Sisi's approval to move through Egyptian air space if Washington decided to send Marines to aid in the evacuation of U.S. personnel.

About 550 Marines and their tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey aircraft are at bases in Spain and Italy on standby if they are needed. A Navy Amphibious Ready Group with 4,000 Marines and sailors aboard, led by the helicopter assault ship Kearsarge, was also in the region following completion of the Eager Lion training exercises in Jordan. © Copyright 2013 Military.com. AIN'T KARMA A *ITCH? S-o-o-o...... the helicopter assault ship Kearsarge, IS in the region. We were lied to----we were told it was not available to help endangered Americans in Benghazi.

As I have noted before , Obama can invite as a Muslim, who genuflected to the Saudi King, the Muslim Morsi to come back to the USA with his two Muslim male children. At some appropriate time with Hillary’s agreement either son can run for POTUSA because according to some USA citizens only the place of birth determines eligibility for POTUSA. With these people voting along with suited and skirted Muslims the USA can have It’s first Muslim POTUSA. I believe the Founding Fathers were as much concerned with such a twist for place of birth as they were for parentage of birth and tied both concerns together to define ‘natural born’.

No. It isn’t . But it can be again if the current Egyptian government is forced to sink or swim. Mubarak did a good job of keeping the MB suppressed. And the dishonesty in Washington D.C. is galling. Radical islam is a wild animal. Best to kill it or keep it closely caged. By cutting off aid they will either succumb to the wild animal in their midst, or kill it. Killing it would be their best option as Egypt survives on tourism. Make it safe for the church groups.

The more time passes, the more I despise the sonsofbitches that not only afflicted Obama on me, but inflicted the bastard on the rest of the World. Mere words cannot adequately describe how much I hate them.

Wasn’t “political means” that got them where they are now?

For Al-Sisi and all the higher ups in the provisional government and military -they must know they’ve crossed the Rubicon.

At this point they either win outright or they’re dead.
